Good Morning Blessings itโ€™s Sunday November 30th 2025 the last Sunday of this Year in 2025 !! If you donโ€™t have a Church home ๐Ÿ  are just looking ๐Ÿ‘€ to visit a church today !! This is an open invitation to you come worship with Us at Second Baptist Church 65 Church Street Summerville Ga 30747 !! The doors ๐Ÿšช has always swung open on Welcome hinges since 1940 when it was established โ€ฆ November 1940 Second Baptist Church was built and open to All who seek to come for a word from the Many Pastor who resided to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ !! Shepherds that led the flock at Second Baptist Church !! 1940โ€ฆRev. S.M.Ferguson , Rev. W.W. Barber, this Church was called Greater New Bethel Baptist Church โ€ฆ. later on in the 1940 The Church need its on name โ€ฆ the members had a meeting standing strong it was voted and the new name would be Second Baptist Church !! As the name changed a new pastor was called to lead the flock in 1940 Rev. O.M.Collins ๏ฟผ,as the years passed . 1955 Rev. Charles Davis was called to lead the flock Rev. Davis lead the flock from 1955-1982 as the Lord called him home to be with the Angels !!May 1982 Rev.Thomas James was called to lead the flock 1982 -1990 .. Rev .M.C Cleveland 1990-1998 . Rev. Willie H . Perkinson was called to lead the flock 1998-2016 .. In the mist of the storm Rev Perkinson became ill !! In the mist of the storm Minister Bertha Johnson step in
March 2016 -September 2016 .. Second Baptist was still standing strong as We prayed for a leader to continue this Journey October 2016 Pastor Timothy Williamson was called to lead the flock. 2016 -2024 .. Second Baptist a Church moving Forward on fire for Jesus .. after 7 months looking for a leader to continue to Lead the Flock we are still the Church on 65 Church street Moving Forward with A new Pastor on November 16 th 2025 Pastor Forest Tipp Cooper was installed as the Shepard to lead the flock @ Second Baptist Church .. as we continue this Journey a Church going forward โ€ฆ Second Baptist Strong we as that you continue to pray for Us and any time you want to come worship you are welcome to come !! May God continue to bless and send growth to this church standing on 65 church street !! In celebration of 85 years on this corner in Dry Valley a Church that was established in 1940 !! To God be the Glory !!
