GEARS IN NATURE ARE EVIDENCE OF A CREATOR
The planthopper is an insect found in European gardens. It hops from leaf to leaf over distances longer than its body length. The baby nymphs take off in 2 milliseconds . Both of their legs have to push off at the same time in order to push off correctly, or they would be lopsided, and they are measured to take off within 30 microseconds of each other. Nerve pulses are too slow to achieve this alone, so how do they do it?
God put little teeth like gears in their legs!
These Intermeshing cog gears (pictured) are comprised of tiny teeth about 30 micrometers high covering a curved strip about 400 micrometers long.
These gear systems are also irreducibly complex. Meaning they absolutely have to work all together at the same time. Evolution theory just falls apart here because these gears can't evolve in slow, gradual steps.
Living creatures have the most amazing machinery, which should be obvious evidence of a Designer (Romans 1:20). Darwin, on the other hand, believed that all the machines were built by a blind process of tiny changes and natural selection picking the advantageous ones over eons of time. However, this would be problematic for machines (like gears) that would not function unless many parts were organized. Darwin had no idea that one day we would have examples like the planthopper, which totally dismantle his outdated theory!
