This Sunday at Connect Church

Gianni started his summer internship which we are very excited about, you notice him in the pics. He is the young, handsome, one. But that wasn’t all that happened.

The congregation laid hands on Pastor Frank and Debbie for their trip to Bulgaria, then our “closer”, Parrish, proposed to his girlfriend, Donna, after he did the closing shout.

Then we did had a Church Family Meeting that included a target start and finish date for the new building!

What a day!!

Connect Church was represented today at the Memorial Day event in Spruce Creek. Ralph is the President and MC for the event, Beth Comer brought in the wreath, but failed to a good pic of her, and I got to do the opening and closing prayer. My good friend Dr Jerry Huffman once again did an awesome job with the message!

Today at Connect Church we prayed over the 6 shawls and quilt that are going with us to Bulgaria. Two will go the leaders of the two villages we will be working in. Being praying for the 12 of us heading out in June.

Thank you the several who have worked to clear out the thickets in our future “park” area. Marty and Tom worked daily outside of the crews to whack through the heavy area.

Because of their work the professionals coming in behind us to clean the grounds and cut low branches, will take out some TREES for us since they don’t have to do the thickets!
Reminds me of Romans 8 - “all things work together for good . . . “.

We did a Cinco de Mayo with Orange Blossom Hills. They did the 50/50 for their fundraiser, walking tacos and Piñata. We did chicken enchiladas with rice and beans and the dessert. Good food, good fellowship and fun together!

Third Anniversary today at Connect! Sunflowers is the third anniversary theme so we gave out Sunflower seeds you eat and that you plant. I’m looking forward to seeing sunflowers popping up all over our community! What a great group!
