House of Prayer

House of Prayer We’re a small group of believers who are passionate about living out the teachings of the whole Bible, cover to cover.

We believe all of Scripture is relevant to us today, guiding us in how to walk as Jesus walked: love & grace, and spirit & truth.

05/27/2026

We were so blessed by everyone who joined us for the Pentecost Baptism gathering this weekend. If you weren’t able to make it, don’t worry — there will be more opportunities ahead.

Our doors and hearts are always open to anyone wanting to grow in faith, learn more about the Scriptures, and fellowship with believers. We gather each Sabbath at 11:00 AM for worship, teaching, and a shared meal together.

Whether you’re full of questions, seeking truth, or simply looking for a place to belong, you are welcome here.

Feel free to message us for details. We’d love to meet you. - Ken Hartford

🌿 This Week’s Torah Portion: Bamidbar (בְּמִדְבַּר) — “In the Wilderness” 🌿

This Sabbath, we begin the book of Numbers with the Torah portion Bamidbar, which means “In the Wilderness.”

Before Israel could move forward into their destiny, God called them into the wilderness—not to abandon them, but to organize them, number them, and position them around His presence.

The wilderness is often where we feel the most uncertain, but it is also where God teaches us who we are, where we belong, and how to walk in step with Him.

In this portion, every tribe is counted, every family is assigned a place, and the Tabernacle remains at the center. It is a beautiful reminder that God is a God of order, purpose, and presence.

No matter how isolated or disoriented you may feel, the Lord knows your name, your calling, and your position in His Kingdom.

“The Lord spoke to Moses in the Tent of Meeting in the Desert of Sinai…” — Numbers 1:1

📖 This Week’s Readings
Torah: Numbers 1:1–4:20
Prophets: Hosea 2:1–22
Brit Hadashah: Luke 16:1–17:10; 1 Corinthians 12:12–31

✨ Themes we’ll explore:

* God counts what matters
* Every believer has a place in the camp
* The Presence of God must remain at the center
* Wilderness seasons are seasons of preparation
* Many members, one body in Messiah

Join us this Sabbath as we gather to worship the God who calls each of us by name and places us exactly where we are meant to be.

Church family, this week’s reading is not the regular Torah portion because we are in Pesach. For Shabbat, April 4, 2026, the reading is Pesach — Shabbat Chol HaMoed. Let’s prepare our hearts and come ready to worship, reflect, and rejoice in the beauty of our Messiah through His Word.

This week’s readings:
Exodus 33:12–34:26
Numbers 28:19–25
Song of Songs 1:1–8:14
Ezekiel 37:1–14
John 1:29–31; 10:14–18

Read ahead, pray over these passages, and ask the Lord to reveal His heart through them. There is so much beauty in this appointed time. See you at service.
