Most of all, it is powerful because it does what no other power on earth can do: it can save us, reconcile us to God, and guarantee us a place in the kingdom of God forever.”

Happy Reformation Day! (We know, it's also Halloween 🎃). Today, we celebrate something significant in Church history. On this day in 1517, Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the door of a church in Wittenberg, Germany. This simple, yet profound act sparked a movement that reformed the corrupt church and paved the way for a return to biblical authority. The truths of the reformation are known as the "Five Solas." Faith alone, grace alone, Christ alone, Scripture alone, all to the glory of God alone.

Metamorphosis. This term is used to describe the transformative process of a caterpillar becoming a butterfly. This term could also be used to describe the transformation of the heart of a person who has put their faith in Jesus for salvation and forgiveness of sin. Once we are saved, the Holy Spirit comes to abide with us. We are no longer the same. Though this change is instantaneous, the process of growing into a changed heart takes time. The Christian life is the process of dying every day to sin and seeking the life that is ours in Christ Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit. We learn how to grow and seek this life by engaging in God’s Word daily.

Would you join us this week as we seek to grow in this life through studying Paul’s letters to the Corinthians? You can even join us as we commit to memorize 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

We are expecting a great day of worship tomorrow at Grace! Sunday School begins at 9:30am and our worship service kicks off at 10:30am. We are praying for all who will gather with us to be refreshed by the grace of Jesus. Make plans to join us!

Join us for Midweek at Grace tonight. We will begin with our monthly Family Meal in the Fellowship Hall at 6pm. At 7pm, our GraceKids and Grace Students will meet for bible study, worship, and fellowship. Also at 7pm, we will have our monthly Business Meeting in the Fellowship Hall. Make plans to be with us for Midweek at Grace!
