This Tuesday night September 8th at 6:30 p.m. we are excited to have one of our own, Megan Foster, sharing her story. Megan and her husband, Keith volunteer and help at CR. Megan helps with the children 5-12 down in our Celebration Station and Keith teaches in the Landing class for teen boys that we offer.
We simply love them both and are grateful for their service with CR.

A free meal is served from 5:30-6:20 PM

Tuesday night, September 1st at 6:30 p.m., Jonathan Dodd will be teaching Lesson 17 “Forgiveness”. This lesson is about accepting and giving forgiveness. Accepting God’s forgiveness, forgiving others and forgiving yourself. This can be challenging for so many of us, but it’s vital in our recovery so we are able to move forward.

A free meal is served from 5:30-6:20 PM
Worship & Large Group from 6:30-7:30 PM

Testimony Tuesday is happening tomorrow night, August 25th at 6:30 P.M. Emily Manning Baskin will be sharing her story/testimony. Emily is a devoted follower of Christ, a grateful mother, and a grandmother who just celebrated 9 years of recovery in June. Her journey has taught her that God truly is able to do exceedingly more than we can think, ask, or even imagine.
Emily is a Faith-Based Recovery Support Specialist, Certified Recovery Support Specialist, Recovery Coach/Mentor, and leader of the Life Recovery Group at The Recovery Den in Jasper. She has the privilege of walking alongside others as they begin and maintain sobriety while pursuing healing, freedom, and a renewed life.
She also serves with 13 Life Ministries and Recovering Redemption at Desperation Church in Jasper. She has a special heart for those experiencing mental illness, substance use disorder, homelessness, domestic violence, child separation, and child loss, as she has been personally affected by each of these.
But beyond the titles and the work she does, she is simply a woman who knows what it means to be rescued, restored, and redeemed by God.

Testimony nights are just so inspiring and give hope and encouragement to all who they are shared with. And this Tuesday night, August 11th at 6:30 P.M. is going to be no different and just that. We are so happy to have Cindy Bentley come and share her story/testimony with us. It’s going to be such a blessing.
Cindy is a wife, mom, CiCi to 2 precious grandchildren, and she teaches Kindergarten at Valley Elementary School. She is also very near and dear to this heart of mine. Please come and join us.

August is here! This Tuesday night, August 4th at 6:30 p.m. Jonathan Dodd will be teaching Lesson 16 “Amends” We are now at the halfway point of these lessons!
Lesson 16 is necessary as we learn how to make amends to those we have wronged in our life.

Tuesday, July 28th at 6:30 p.m., Douglas Lively will be sharing his story/testimony with us at Celebrate Recovery - Sumiton Church of God. Douglas and his wife live in Sumiton, AL and they are leaders at The Recovery Den and are also a part of the recovery cafe, both located in Jasper, AL.

It’s nights like tonight that truly makes everything we do at Celebrate Recovery worth it. First off, a big thank you to Empire worship team and Jennifer Short, for the amazing worship and testimony. So good!! There was such a beautiful and strong presence of the Lord tonight drawing people to the alter, with one even giving their heart to Lord 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻and becoming a believer in Jesus Christ. It just can’t get any better. We want to give all the glory and honor to Him!!
