About Our Lutheran Women's Retreat

We are women from ELCIC (Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada) congregations in B.C.'s Greater Vancouver and Lower Fraser Valley Conferences. Each spring we hold a retreat for the women of our congregations (18 and over) and their friends. Whether for the first time, or whether you have participated often, you'll be welcomed! Many of our women make it an annua

l event, treasuring time spent with God, nature and each other. The weekend is filled with worship and guest speaker, fellowship, music and fun. Come enjoy nature and lakeside walks, laughter and tears, prayers and quite times, and our time together. Registration check-in begins late in the afternoon on Friday (by 5pm) and the weekend begins with dinner together, followed by an evening of getting to know each other, orientation time, and entertainment. Come earlier if you’d like to stroll the grounds first. Saturday features a fabulous guest speaker. Retreat includes a healing service, communion, quiet and prayer times, Holden evening prayer (a vespers service) and lots of music, socializing and singing. We end about 1.30 early Sunday afternoon, following worship service with communion and lunch before we travel home again. There is time for you to take in lakeside walks, explore hiking trails, or just meditate and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. This is a weekend for you... enjoy whatever the retreat has to offer you for friendship and renewal of spirit, soul and body. We would not be able to hold retreat without our many volunteers. We appreciate the many gifts of service, as readers, musicians, vocalists, and worship assistants ~ volunteer lists for these are created at the retreat. We encourage you to bring a skit or presentation for the Friday entertainment (either individually, or as a group), and for musicians, their instruments for singing and worship times. And if you bring a digital camera, you are welcome to post your pictures on our page. Location

starting early registration for 2019 here is a bit of information .

We have decided to book at Cedar Springs Christian Retreat Center again for the weekend of May 24-26, 2019. As part of our booking requirements we will be giving a deposit of $929 US before July 27th.

In anticipation of making this deposit we are now offering an early bird registration at the 2018 rates:

DOUBLE occupancy $170 USD or $225 CDN per person
SINGLE occupancy $194 USD or $256 CDN/pp
BUNK BEDS $153 USD or $202 CDN/pp
These rates will be available until the end of January 2019, after which the registration rates will be increased to:
DOUBLE occupancy $190 USD per person
SINGLE occupancy $214 USD/pp
BUNK BEDS $168 USD/pp
The Canadian dollar amounts will be set at that time as well. Our speaker and theme are still to be determined.

Hello Ladies!

We are happy to announce the dates to save for the 2018 Lutheran Women's Retreat at Cedar Springs Christian Retreat Center in Sumas, Washington.
We are scheduled for the last weekend in May, arriving for dinner on Friday, May 25, 2018 and staying until after lunch on Sunday, May 27, 2018.

Rev. Vickie Wong will be our guest speaker on the Saturday. The theme for the retreat will be announced in the new year when we send the registration form.

If anyone would like to help with the planning or provide some assistance with any aspect of the retreat, please email back.

Just wanted to confirm...the retreat is ON next weekend. We are so excited to have you join us. There are still spots available if you were still considering coming, we'd love to see you!

We had 30 confirmed guests March 17 before the deadline for us to cancel the retreat without penalty and since we had such a positive response from the women last year we felt confident we could drum up another 10 participants without issue...that has NOT been the case, we still need ALL 10 spaces to be filled. If you were considering coming but thought you missed the deadline please contact us as we likely can still get you in!

UPDATE! THE RETREAT IS A GO!

Thank you to all the women who have confirmed their attendance. I think we have about 30 of the 40 spots needed to be filled. With this in mind we have decided to "Let Go and Let God" as far as filling the remaining spots - so if you want to join us - now is the time to register - DEADLINE FOR PAYMENT IS MAY 1!
