A Personal Note from our Pastor, Rusty Posey:
As I sit this morning feeling the heaviness of the hurting within our great community, I'm reminded of Psalm 34:18. "The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed." In moments of unexpected grief, Jesus is there. In His famous Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said "God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted." (Matthew 5:4 NLT)
You may feel alone, but you are not alone. You are valued. You are loved. You matter. You matter to the people that love you. You matter to God. You matter to us here at Hope.
If you are having trouble processing your grief or pain, please seek help. One of the greatest things about Sulphur Springs is the way the Pastors and Churches of our community come together. If you have a local church you're connected to, please reach out to your Pastor for help. If you don't, we here at Hope Family Fellowship desire to be that place of Hope for you and I would be honored to listen to you and pray with you. My email is [email protected].
I would encourage you to seek professional help. My friend, Stacy Davis, is a great Christian counselor. You can find her information at https://texaschristiancounseling.com/locations/sulphur-springs.
If you are in crisis and need immediate help, call or text 988.
May God bring His sweet peace and comfort to the hurting of our community today!
