Today is a BIG day for our kids as they move up to their next class! 💙

✨ Entering 6th Grade: You’re officially joining the Youth! You’ll worship with our youth in the auditorium.

🌿 Parenting Tip Tuesday 🌿

"The relationship with your child is the foundation for every correction."

When conflict becomes constant, it's easy for tension to replace connection. But children respond best to correction when they know they're deeply loved. Make time to laugh together, listen without distraction, and create moments of connection outside of discipline.

The stronger the relationship, the more your guidance can be received with trust instead of resistance.

📖 "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins." — 1 Peter 4:8

❤️ Remember: Rules are important, but relationships are powerful. A child who feels connected is far more likely to accept correction, grow from it, and draw closer, not farther away.

🌿 Parenting Tip Tuesday 🌿

"There's a difference between discipline and punishment and your child can feel it."

Punishment often focuses on the past mistake. Discipline focuses on the future. It's not about making our children pay for what they did; it's about teaching them how to make better choices next time.

When we correct with love, consistency, and purpose, we're not just changing behavior, we're shaping character.

📖 "No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it." — Hebrews 12:11

❤️ Our goal as parents isn't to punish our children, it's to lovingly train them to follow wisdom, take responsibility, and grow into the people God created them to be.

🌿 Parenting Tip Tuesday 🌿

"Taking away privileges isn't the problem, making your child earn them back is the key."

Consequences are meant to teach, not just punish. Instead of removing a privilege for an extended time, connect it to the behavior and give your child a clear path to earn it back. When privilege and responsibility go hand in hand, children learn that good choices rebuild trust and freedom.

"Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things." — Matthew 25:21

✨ The goal isn't simply to take something away, it's to teach responsibility, accountability, and the joy of earning back trust.

🎉 What an incredible three days of VBS! 🎉

Our hearts are so full after an amazing week of worship, laughter, games, crafts, new friendships, and discovering the unexpected gift of the grace of Jesus.

We are so thankful for every child, family, volunteer, and leader who made this week so special. Watching kids grow in their faith, memorize God's Word, and experience His love is what it's all about.

As VBS comes to a close, our prayer is that the lessons learned this week won't end here. May every child continue to grow in the knowledge that God's grace is a gift freely given through Jesus Christ.

💙 Thank you for making VBS 2026 one to remember. We can't wait to see what God has in store next!
