JAMES 4:6-10
(NLT)
(6)And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” (7)So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (8)Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. (9)Let there be tears for what you have done. Let there be sorrow and deep grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy. (10)Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.
Hello again family,
Well theses verses are definitely standing out today. I know this most certainly hits home!!! Most of us if not all of us have a hard time modeling submission and humility-qualities that are essential to our recovery process. Why? Well they show dependence on God and a willingness to guided by Him. On the other hand theres Satan's pride-and our adoption of it-opposes God's program for healthy and godly living. As many of us know from experience, the way pride and selfishness only leads to confusion and strife. True contentment comes only when we surrender and submit our life to God and His plans for our life. Ladies and gentlemen as we admit our failures and humbly seek to do God's will, we will automatically draw closer to God. As we draw close to God , the grip of our dependency will weaken, and God will lift us up and out as he removes our doubt, rebuilding us along our way....
So please remember....
Do your best
& let Jesus do the rest,
AMEN, AMEN, AMEN
