NO SERVICES THIS SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 1

Due to the possibility of ice and snow overnight on Saturday, along with subfreezing temperatures, we’ve decided not to hold our regular worship services this Sunday. All Foundations classes, activities, meetings, and youth group are also cancelled. Our hope is simply to care well for one another and avoid unnecessary travel risks.

WORSHIP AT HOME
While we won’t be able to gather physically, we will still worship together.
We will post a Morning Prayer service to our podcast channel Sunday morning (audio only). David will lead us through the liturgy and you can follow along follow along using your Book of Common Prayer, or the online liturgy https://www.dailyoffice2019.com/morning_prayer/2026/2/1

This is a wonderful opportunity to worship together even while we are apart—to pray with your spouse, your family, roommates, neighbors, or simply in the quiet of your own home. Morning Prayer is meant to be shared, spoken aloud, and prayed together as the people of God, wherever we find ourselves.

This is a day for the whole family to come together and learn about the amazing work God is doing both in our community and around the world. We're turning the church grounds into a lively festival with something for everyone: Carnival Games, Trunk-or-Treat, Sweet Treats, Meet Our Mission Partners. In the wake of the tragic and senseless murder of Charlie Kirk, we are reminded that we live in a world marred by evil and death. As followers of Christ, let us respond in prayer:

Almighty and eternal God, whose Son, Jesus Christ, defeated the powers of darkness through His cross and resurrection, anchor us in the hope of His victory. When we face horrific evil, give us unwavering faith in Your sovereign grace, that we may hold fast to the promise of Your Word, which proclaims Christ’s reign over all. By Your Holy Spirit, comfort us in our loss and empower us to stand firm, love our enemies, and share the gospel of grace and peace, trusting that in Jesus all things will be made new. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
