CHURCH WORLD SERVICE KITS DELIVERED!
This year our little church put together 41 hygiene kits and 82 school (kids) kits that will be distributed to those in need here in the US as well as those in other parts of the world. The folks they go to may have been forced from their homes due to natural or human made disasters; they may be living in poverty; they may be refugees, and so on...

Big news for New Hampshire! 🎉

The New Hampshire Food Bank has secured a $750,000 national grant from Feeding America to help expand access to fresh, nutritious food across the Granite State.

This critical funding will strengthen partnerships with local retailers and increase the amount of fresh food that is nearing expiration—including produce, dairy, and protein—reaching our network of partner agencies and the neighbors they serve.

At a time when more individuals and families are turning to food assistance, investments like this help ensure that everyone in New Hampshire has access not just to food—but to the healthy, nourishing options they need to thrive.

A special thank you to Hannaford Supermarkets for their incredible partnership and ongoing support. Hannaford has donated 5 million pounds of food to the New Hampshire Food Bank—equating to about 4 million meals for our neighbors in need. 💚

Together with our partners, we’re continuing to build a stronger, more connected food system—one that delivers fresh food where it’s needed most.

AN EASTER GIFT -

A previously injured barred owl got second chance at life on Easter morning, right in Sullivan Center, when she was released back into the wild by her rehabilitator, Todd Little of Keene. Todd has been working towards his license under the supervision of Deb Gode of The Wi******er Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. After being hit by a car, she was brought to The Center, where is was determined she had a broken wing, but was probably a good candidate for rehabilitation. Todd has been working with her to get her back into shape. What a beautiful sight it was to see her take flight!

“My time at Kurn Hattin molded my personality," says Lenny Stavrou, Class of 1951.

In the 1940s, Lenny and his siblings arrived at Kurn Hattin after a difficult start in life. What they found here changed everything: stability, compassion, and the foundation for a life of purpose.

Lenny went on to become a bank president, a black belt in judo, and a generous community leader. But he never forgot the place that helped him believe in what was possible.

His message to students today? “Learn compassion. It can bring you a long way in life.”
