Highway Church of Christ The church of Christ that meets in Sullivan is located on State Highway 121. This is the west end of Sullivan (704 W Jackson). Things that we stand for:

1.

There is One God, manifested in three persons. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Jas. 2:19).

2. There is salvation in no other name given among men but Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12).

3. Salvation is attained as a result of faith, repentance, confession, baptism, and living faithfully for the Lord (Jn. 3:16; Acts 2:38; Rom. 10:9-10; 6:3-7; Rev. 2:10).

4. The worship of the New Testament churc

h is simple: it is based strictly on what Jesus's church did, as we find commands, examples, and implications of such in the New Testament. As such, our worship consists of prayer (1 Tim. 2:1,8), singing—without mechanical accompaniment (Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16), the reading and study/preaching of Scripture (1 Tim. 4:13; 2 Tim. 4:1,2; cf. 1 Cor. 14:19,26,29,31), observance of the Lord's supper each first day of the week (Acts 20:7a; 1 Cor. 11:17-29 [esp. vv. 20-25]; cf. Matt. 26:28,29; Mk. 14:24,25; Lk. 22:17,18; 1 Cor. 16:1,2), and the giving of our means to support the works in which we are involved (1 Cor. 16:1,2; cf. Acts 2:45; 4:32-35).
