David and Debbie Brewer founded Revival in Prison Ministry as a Lay led Evangelism Ministry dedicated to sharing the message of the love, mercy and grace of Jesus Christ in the Indiana prison system. We are a small prison ministry founded by Dave and Debbie Brewer in 2008 to serve in the mission field of over 28,000 men and women incarcerated in the Indiana Department of Correction. As the ministr
y grew Debbie Tennyson and Linda Cherico partnered with us to serve God through this ministry. We currently serve primarily at the Rockville Correctional Facility for women where we provide praise and worship services every Tuesday and Wednesday and on two Sundays each month. David also serves there as a volunteer chaplain and Debbie
Tennyson and Linda Cherico have begun teaching in the faith based PLUS program. What began in 2008 as a ministry serving a single prison has been blessed by God and is continuing to grow as we strive to answer Gods call. In 2010 God gave us a vision of conducting 3 day, old fashioned tent revivals on prison grounds. This vision became a reality in September of 2011 when we pitched a 30x60 foot tent on the grounds of the Rockville Correctional Facility and conducted our first revival. More than 500 women attended the three days of revival and many came to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. In 2012, God opened the gates to 3 prisons and brought nearly 1200 men and women under the tent to hear Gods word. As a result of the successes of the 2012 tent
revivals we have received invitations to conduct tent revivals at 6 prisons in the summer of 2013. Over 8500 men and women are housed in these prisons and we are praying that the Holy Spirit will move 40% of them (3400) to attend . 2014 will take the tent revival into 8 or 9 prisons to share His Word during the 3 days of revival. With nearly 20,000 men and women being released from prison last year, and with over 17,000 new men and women entering the system affirms to us that there is a great deal of work to be done for the Kingdom of God in our prisons. As this need for evangelism grows, so grows the work of the church, and Revival in Prison Ministry. With the growth of this ministry over the past few years we now find it necessary to reach out to the church as a whole, and to our brothers and sisters in Christ for prayers and support. We wish to raise awareness of this mission field and of the needs of this ministry to insure that we are able to continue following our call and to grow in our service to Jesus and the men and women in our prisons. First and foremost, we need your prayers for the men and women incarcerated in our prison and for this ministry. Secondly, we would love an opportunity to visit with you, your missions or outreach committee or congregation to share how the Lord is moving and growing His church within the walls of our prisons. Thirdly, we humbly ask your church to support Revival in Prison Ministry through a one time financial gift, or by committing to an ongoing monthly gift through 2013. We can be contacted at the address or phone number below or by the email addresses listed. You can also view our Face Book page by searching for Revival in Prison Ministry. We are praying to hear from you soon and looking forward to an opportunity to meet with you in person. We thank you for your time and pray Gods blessings on you and yours,
