GET YOUR FEET WET!
Joshua 3:1–17

The river did not stop before the priests stepped in. The miracle began when their feet touched the water.

Sometimes faith means taking the next step before you can see the dry ground.

The river is real—but so is the promise.
The current is strong—but so is the hand of God.

And our obedience is not only about us.

We are standing on dry ground today because somebody was willing to get their feet wet yesterday.

There are still people to reach. There are still families to serve. There are still prayers to pray. There are still rivers to cross.

Who may discover the love of God because you were willing to take the next step?

Get your feet wet, and trust God to make a way.

Join us The Church of New Beginnings, every Wednesday at 7 pm and every Sunday at 11 am as we continue the journey of faith together.

Come ready to worship, hear the Word, and take the next step.

Get your feet wet, and trust God to make a way!!

What a blessed Sunday service today!

In Adult Sunday School, Brother Ben Roseberry continued the study, “From Disciple to Apostle,” reminding everyone that following Jesus is not only about learning. It is also about growing, serving, and becoming willing vessels for His purpose.

The worship service was Spirit-filled as voices were lifted in praise and the presence of God was welcomed.

Pastor Cecile DeLaGarza shared a powerful message from Joshua 3 titled: "Get Your Feet Wet”

The Israelites stood at the edge of the Jordan River with the Promised Land ahead of them. But the miracle did not begin while they remained safely on the riverbank. The waters began to stop when the priests stepped forward in obedience and their feet touched the water.

" Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water’s edge, the water from upstream stopped flowing.” — Joshua 3:15–16

Sometimes God opens the way before the step is taken. But sometimes God asks for the step before the way becomes visible.
Whatever river is standing in front of you today, do not let fear keep your feet dry. Follow God’s presence. Trust His Word. Take the next step of obedience.

You cannot walk on dry ground until you are willing to get your feet wet.

What a great night together watching I Can Only Imagine 2!

We’re so thankful for the fellowship, laughter, encouragement, and meaningful conversations shared with our church family. Nights like these remind us that church is more than a place—it’s a family growing, serving, and celebrating God’s goodness together.

This is what we do as a church family—we worship together, serve together, pray together, and enjoy time together. We look forward to many more opportunities to connect, grow, and celebrate God’s goodness as one family in Christ.

Thank you to everyone who helped make movie night a success!

Midweek Recharge!

Our Midweek Service was a powerful time of worship, renewal, and surrender in the presence of God. Through worship, we were reminded that God desires to break down every wall that stands between us and His purpose. It was a call to surrender completely—to lay aside fear, doubt, and anything that hinders our walk with Him.

Pastor Cecile DeLaGarza brought forth an encouraging and timely message from Isaiah 40, reminding us of God’s strength and faithfulness:

“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.” (Isaiah 40:28)

The message challenged us to remember who God is when we face difficulties and uncertainty. He is everlasting, all-powerful, and never grows tired. When our strength fails, His strength remains. When we feel weary, He renews us and empowers us to keep moving forward in faith for those "who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength"!

What a blessed evening of worship, encouragement, and spiritual refreshing! Join us on Wednesdays at 7 pm and Sundays at 11 am at The Church of New Beginnings, Sullivan IN

YOU ARE NEVER ALONE IN THE BATTLE!!

Goliath came into the valley with an armor-bearer walking in front of him. He had weapons, protection, and backup. But David still ran toward the battle.

Why? Because David knew that Goliath was not the only one with someone on his side.

Goliath had an armor-bearer, but David had the Lord.
Goliath had someone to protect him, but David had a God who never leaves nor forsakes His people.
Goliath had someone to help him fight, but David had a God who fights for His children.

You may be walking into a difficult valley today, but you are not walking into it alone. God is already there. He is with you in the battle, with you in the pressure, and with you in the place you are afraid to enter.

Run toward the valley with confidence. You are never alone!!.

“And he drew near to the Philistine.” — 1 Samuel 17:40

Women of Faith Fellowship!

Tonight at our Women of Faith Fellowship, hearts were truly blessed and encouraged by the moving testimony shared by sister Bobbi Getchell. With honesty, courage, and humility, Bobbi opened her heart and spoke about the giants she has faced throughout her life. Her story was a beautiful reminder that victory does not come through personal strength alone, but through the power, grace, and faithfulness of the Lord.

Her testimony also reflected the blessing of gathering as women of faith in a place filled with acceptance, love, and belonging. In this church family, one will find encouragement instead of criticism, grace instead of judgment, and sisterhood instead of isolation.

This is the beauty of being part of the family of Christ. In this fellowship, we are more than friends—we are sisters united by God’s love. Though we come from different backgrounds and experiences, we belong to one another because we first belong to Him.

The fellowship ended with a sweet time of crafting led by sister Lori Grimes, making Bible bookmarks and Bible tabs—a beautiful reminder to keep God’s Word close to the heart.

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:11

GOD's WAY STILL WORK!.

When the battle feels overwhelming, remember that you do not have to fight like the world fights. Prayer still works. Worship still works. Fasting still works. Forgiveness still works. Standing on the promises of God still works. Praising Him before the breakthrough still works.

David did not defeat Goliath with the weapons everyone expected. He used what God had placed in his hands and trusted the One who had already brought him through the lion and the bear.

Sometimes, the strength you need for today is found in remembering what God has already done. If He made a way before, He can make a way again. If He carried you through the last battle, He will not abandon you in this one.

The giant may look bigger, but your God has not changed. The same God who delivered you then is still faithful now.

God’s way still works. Remember what God has done. The battle is the Lord’s!
— 1 Samuel 17:37, 47

DO NOT WEAR WHAT DOES NOT FIT YOU!

Saul offered David his armor, but David refused to wear it because it does not fit him.

“And David said to Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not tested them.” — 1 Samuel 17:39

David understood that he did not need to become someone else to defeat Goliath. He knew that he cannot win God's battle using the enemy's weapon.

David said the armor does not fit him. There are things that do not fit a child of God- worry, unforgiveness, hate, jealousy ....Take off what God did not assign you and walk into the valley as the person God called you to be.

What a powerful Sunday service!

In our adult Sunday School, Brother Ben Roseberry started a new study on "From Disciple to Apostle".

Pastor Cecile DeLagarza continued the message on David and Goliath, "The Battle Is the Lord’s.”

David refused to wear Saul’s armor because it did not fit him. As children of God, we do not have to wear what does not fit us or fight the way others expect us to fight. We must walk in who God has called us to be.

From that place of confidence in his God-given identity, David remembered what God had already done. The same God who delivered him from the lion and the bear would deliver him from Goliath. In God’s eyes, the size of the enemy does not matter because God is always bigger.

Because of that assurance, David did not walk into the valley afraid — he ran toward the battle knowing that he served a God who fights with us.

Run toward your valley with faith. The battle is the Lord’s!
