Faith Lutheran Church

Yesterday, during the Festival of the Reformation, we rejoiced as Shawn received Holy Baptism in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

What a fitting way to celebrate the Reformation: receiving the grace of God in Jesus Christ! At the font, God placed His name upon Shawn, washed away his sins, and clothed him with Christ.

We give thanks for our brother in Christ and pray that the Lord would keep him steadfast in His Word and faith all his days.
Welcome to the family at Faith, Shawn!

“The Word of the Lord endures forever.”

That confession hangs on the wall of our sanctuary, and this Sunday we gather to celebrate the Reformation with that same confidence. Generations come and go, but God’s promise stands: sinners are forgiven and saved by His grace alone, through faith in Jesus Christ, who died and rose for us.

Here at Faith, that Gospel is still preached. Christ still gathers His people around His Word and Sacraments, giving forgiveness, life, and salvation.

Join us this Sunday for Reformation Sunday. Come hear the promises of Christ and sing the great hymns of the Reformation with us!

Paper airplanes were flying at Faith last night! Our Trail Life boys learned about aeronautics and design, then put their ideas to the test by building and flying their own airplanes.

Faith Lutheran Church in Sullivan is home to a Trail Life troop 1101, where boys can learn new skills, build friendships, and grow in Christian faith and service to others. We’re thankful for the leaders who give their time to teach and encourage them.

If you have a son who would enjoy being part of the troop, send us a message. We’d be glad to tell you more!
