At Valley View Community Church...
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God totally without error in the original writings, and the absolute final authority on all matters of belief and practice. (II Timothy 3:16,17; II Peter 1:20,21)
We believe God is one God existing in three eternal Persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19,20)
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but through sin lost his relationship with God. (Genesis 1:26,27; Romans 3:23; 5:12; 6:23)
We believe that Jesus Christ died for the sin of the world, making available redemption from sin to life eternal to all who believe in Him. (Romans 3:21-26; 5:1; 8:1,38,39)
We believe in the personal "any moment" return of our Savior, Jesus Christ, to rapture out His Church. (I Corinthians 15:51-58; I Thessalonians 4:13-18)
Our Message
Valley View Community Church was started February 7, 1982. From the very beginning, the goal has been to provide the people of Sugarcreek and it's surrounding communities with a local church setting where God is authentically worshipped and His Word is clearly taught. At the very foundation of the ministry of the church is the Bible. Firmly and unapologetically, we believe the Bible to be the Word of God (II Timothy 3:16). It's authority is absolute and eternal. Therefore, it is the focus of all that we do. The message of the Bible is the message we proclaim. God, in His love, has chosen to reveal Himself to mankind through His Word. That revelation includes the wonderful message of eternal life for those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ (John 3:16; Acts 16:31). It is a free gift that anyone can receive by faith, but never by works (Ephesians 2:8,9). The message of the Bible is also a message of strength, encouragement, comfort, acceptance, and blessing as the believer in Jesus Christ yields to the work of the Spirit of God in everyday life. This message we also proclaim. Through the expository preaching and teaching of the Bible, at every level and in every ministry at Valley View Community Church, our objective is to train, equip, and mature people in their practical walk with the Lord. If you don't have a church home or are looking for one, we invite you to join with us. You will find our people to be warn, friendly, and accepting. Our desire is to create an environment that is comfortable, yet challenging, for all who humbly desire to learn and live God's Word.
