What We Believe
We value……Worship
We value vibrant and authentic Worship that develops and deepens our relationship with God, turning our hearts towards Jesus Christ, yielding to him, and listening for his voice. Psalm 71:6, Psalm 111:1-2, Psalm 138:1-2, Psalm 34:1, Hebrew 11:6, Romans. 12:1-2

We value……The Word of God
We value the whole counsel of God’s word as authoritative and

applicable to all areas of the believer’s life. Isaiah 55:11, II Tim. 3:16

We value……Evangelism
We value reaching unsaved people- locally, nationally, and internationally with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and are committed to using whatever means is necessary to communicate the love of God because we believe unsaved people matter to God, and therefore, they matter to us. Luke 19:10, John 3:16, 2 Peter 3:9

We value……Discipleship
We value ministry that develops disciples making disciples, (DMD). DMDs are those men, women, boys, and girls who have received Christ as Savior and Lord of their lives that consistently submit their wills to the authority of Christ and are actively being built, trained, and developed to impact the world for the kingdom of God, which results in the making of more Disciples for Jesus Christ. Ephesians 4:11-16, Matthew 28:18-20

We value……Prayer
We value prayer as a must for everything we do so that we may see God’s power and love at work in our lives and the lives of those we pray for.
1Thessalonians 5:17, Ephesians 6:18, Philippians 4:6, Luke 11:1-13, Psalm 65:2

We value……Fellowship
We value the fellowship between believers that exhibits our love for God and love for one another that is characterized by the scripture and encouragement of one another in unity. John 13:34, John 15:12

We value……Stewardship
We value being good managers of the spiritual gifts, talents, abilities, and material resources that God has entrusted us with for the advancement of His kingdom. Ephesians 4:7, 4:16, Matthew. 25:14-30

We value……Excellence in Ministry
We value honoring the God of excellence through a ministry of excellence. God has given us His best (Jesus Christ) and therefore He deserves our best at Friendship Community Bible Church. This will be accomplished when every believer faithfully exercises his or her God-given spiritual gifts and abilities to the best of his or her ability.
1 Corinthians 10:31, Colossians 3:23-24

Mission Core Value
The vision of FCBC is to be “A Place to Begin Again”. The vision is rooted out of the story in John 8 where Jesus told the woman caught in the very act of adultery to go her way and sin no more. Therefore, in a Christ-like fashion, we desire to be a place where people of all races, ethnicities, educational levels, financial categories, and life issues can experience the healing balm of blessing through this ministry in order to Begin Again. We envision FCBC being a place where people are Growing through discipleship from spiritual infancy to spiritual maturity. We envision FCBC being a place where people are Going throughout the community, marketplace, and the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We envision FCBC being a place where people are a part of God-honoring families that reflect the glory of God and the witness of God to a watching world regardless of their family makeup. The vision of God-honoring families applies to blended families, married couples, single parents, singles, widows or widowers, and divorcees. We envision FCBC being a place where people are known by their Giving. Not only the giving of the tithes and offerings but also the giving of their time, talents, and expertise so that people will experience a holistic ministry that will assist them with food, shelter, clothing, life skills, and addiction recovery in order to help them begin again. We envision FCBC being a place where people are Gracious. A place where we never forget that we are who we are by the grace of God and that we must show the same grace and patience with others as the Lord has shown with us. This does not imply that we will disregard sin; it simply means that we believe that God’s grace is sufficient to enable all of us to live above the grip of sin.
