Long post, but worth the read.
Matthew 25:35–40
35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?’38 ‘And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you?’39 ‘And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
At the beginning of the month, God placed a call in my heart: “Go and take care of My people.”
This was an intimidating request for what I consider a small ministry. We are a ministry of about 15 people—yes, that’s men, women, and children… maybe 20 if we push it 🤣. But as a pastor, intimidated or not, I’m hyper-focused on what Christ told me to do.
So with about two weeks’ notice, I notified the church. And to my amazement, there was no “Pastor, this is impossible,” no “We need more time.” Instead, it was filled with:“What do we need?”
“When do we meet up?”
“What can we do?”

We simply prayed a prayer of increase—that God would move over the items, kind of like what we see in the book of Matthew when He blessed the loaves and fish.
With 15 people in-house and 3 people outside our ministry, we were able to help over 50 people with food, hygiene products, water, sleeping bags, hand warmers, socks, blankets, and more.
I wrote this post only to brag on God.
As leaders, we understand we don’t know how God is going to do a thing—but if He says do it, then in the words of my Bishop:“Grab a chain, hook it up to a mosquito, and watch it pull a train.”
To all my fellow believers and leaders:JUST GO.
I THANK GOD FOR THE 15… AND SOMETIMES 20. 🙌
