Laurence Connelly and a couple hundred parishioners founded St. Laurence Catholic Church at the corner of Sweetwater Boulevard and Austin Parkway in Sugar Land, Texas. Today, it is home to over 7,300 families and 80+ ministries and groups. The 17-acre campus includes a beautiful church that seats 1,500 people for each Mass; a Chapel of Divine Mercy for perpetual adoration; the National Blue Ribbon

award-winning St. Laurence Catholic School for PreK-Grade 8; the Weekday Children’s Program, a sought-after early childhood education program; and the Ave Maria Parish Life Center. The Consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Novena Day 9

St. Laurence will celebrate the Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus from June 4 through June 12, inviting all parishioners to join us in prayer as we entrust our families, our parish, and our nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

As part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. bishops will consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 11, 2026. Parishes around the country are encouraged to join the bishops in celebrating the consecration of our nation to the Sacred Heart.

Follow along here on Facebook each day as Fr. Reginald Samuels leads us through the novena, and take time to pray with us for healing, unity, and renewal.
