Laurence Connelly and a couple hundred parishioners founded St. Laurence Catholic Church at the corner of Sweetwater Boulevard and Austin Parkway in Sugar Land, Texas. Today, it is home to over 7,300 families and 80+ ministries and groups. The 17-acre campus includes a beautiful church that seats 1,500 people for each Mass; a Chapel of Divine Mercy for perpetual adoration; the National Blue Ribbon

award-winning St. Laurence Catholic School for PreK-Grade 8; the Weekday Children’s Program, a sought-after early childhood education program; and the Ave Maria Parish Life Center.
