Sunday Sermon Recap:

Ever forgotten something important? We've all been there. But what about forgetting God?

This Sunday's message from Judges 3:7-11 reminds us of a powerful truth: even when we forget Him, God never forgets us. The Israelites repeatedly forgot their Deliverer, chasing after idols and falling into bo***ge. Yet God, in His faithfulness, raised up judges to save them when they cried out.

Here's the gospel truth we can't afford to miss: Jesus is our ultimate Deliverer from the tribe of Judah. When we get caught up in our busy lives, our pursuits, even our pride—when we dismiss God from our minds—He still remembers us. He still saves. He still brings rest.

Where are you tending to forget the Lord in your life? Remember His faithfulness, His steadfastness, His unchanging love. And know this: deliverance is always on the way for those who are in Christ.

Sunday Sermon Recap:

Ever feel like God is testing you? He is. But not to break you—to prove you.

This week we walked through Judges 3:1-6, where God left nations in the land to test Israel. Why? So they would know the experience of battle AND teach future generations. George Mueller prayed over empty tables for 200 orphans—and God provided before he said "amen." That's the power of tested faith.

Here's the truth: God tests us not so HE can see if our faith is real, but so WE can see it. Every trial produces steadfastness (James 1:3-4). Every test teaches us one thing above all—to trust Him more.

So in your current test, will you get bitter or better? God has never failed you. He's in your story, even when you can't see it. Trust Him today.

Sunday Sermon Recap:

What if God looked at your life and asked, "After all I've done for you... really?"

This Sunday we explored Judges 2 and discovered a sobering pattern: Israel's unfaithfulness, God's righteous anger, His incredible mercy, their abuse of that grace, and yet—God remains faithful. Sound familiar? This same cycle plays out in our lives today.

Here's the beautiful truth: God is RICH in mercy. Even when we chase after other lovers—success, comfort, approval—He doesn't give us what we deserve. Instead, He gives us Jesus. Ephesians 2:4-6 reminds us that while we were dead in sin, God made us alive in Christ. Not because we earned it, but because of His great love.

The question isn't whether God will be faithful. He always is. The question is: how will we respond to His mercy today? Will we rejoice in it, repent of our unfaithfulness, and receive the grace that's freely offered? His mercies are new every morning—and they're available right now.

Sunday Sermon Recap:

Ever wonder how small compromises can completely derail our spiritual journey? This week we kicked off our study in the book of Judges with a powerful reminder: what we think are "little" compromises can lead to massive defeats.

Just like the parking brake that gets skipped "just once," the Israelites thought they could sidestep God's clear instructions in small ways. But those small decisions snowballed—from driving out the Canaanites completely, to living among them, to eventually becoming just like them. The pattern is unmistakable and uncomfortably relevant to our lives today.

Here's the good news: we don't fight our battles alone. God has already gone before us, and through Jesus, we have victory over the "land of Canaan" within our own hearts. The solution isn't perfection—it's confession, obedience in the small things, and choosing Christ over compromise every single day.

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness." - 1 John 1:9

Sunday Sermon Recap:

What does it mean to be truly sold out for God?

This week we journeyed with the Apostle Paul as he sailed toward Jerusalem, knowing imprisonment and suffering awaited him. Despite warnings from friends and prophecies of danger, Paul's response was powerful: "I am ready not only to be imprisoned, but even to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus."

Paul understood something profound—being in God's will is the highest place on earth, no matter where that is. His friends finally surrendered to this truth, saying "Let the will of the Lord be done" (Acts 21:14). That's the kind of faith that changes everything.

Here's the question for each of us: Is there anything we're holding back from God? Following Christ requires courage, but remember—Jesus was the bravest man who ever lived, going to the cross knowing exactly what awaited Him. He did it for you. For me. That's love beyond measure.

Sunday Sermon Recap:

Every day, we're building our lives—nail by nail, choice by choice. But what are we actually building? The Apostle Paul reminds us in Acts 20 that our lives account for no value unless we're fulfilling the course and ministry God has set before us.

Paul's farewell to the Ephesian elders reveals four defining marks of a life lived on course for God: excel in goodness, testify to the gospel, be on guard, and outperform others in giving. He declares in Acts 20:24, "I count my life of no value unless I finish my course and the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus—to testify to the gospel of the grace of God."

The ministry God has for you isn't always a platform—it's what's right in front of you. Your spouse, your children, your workplace, the person you pass today. Are we building with faithfulness? Are we going to bed tired because we gave ourselves fully to the Lord? This isn't just for pastors or missionaries—this is for every believer.

What will you build with your life?
