Where to start? thank you thank you thank you for such an incredible week. We left with new friends and new memories that will last us a lifetime, and a new desire to grow closer in our relationship with God. The theme of Surrender seems so fitting - we have nothing if we don’t surrender everything to God. Thank you to the Salesian Sisters who let us stay there for the week, having this facility enhanced the experience for us. Teens - thank YOU for such an incredible week, you make it all worth it!! We hope you catch up on some sleep and can’t wait to see (& pray with) you soon :) !! 💙💛

Today is Divine Mercy Sunday which was a perfect day for us all to gather as a community and remember Pope Francis. We pray as he did for the whole world, that we may receive God’s mercy and also be merciful towards one another. Pay attention in these next few weeks- you are seeing Church history unfold in real time! Pray that the Holy Spirit moves powerfully in all of us- our Cardinals, our soon to be Confirmandi, and in the heart of every Catholic to accept a new shepherd.

Good Friday - We pilgrimaged to St. Joseph the worker shrine in Lowell where we joined the locals for confession, prayed the stations of the cross and a divine mercy chaplet and got a special tour of a cool museum space showing the history of the shrine and the religious brothers and priests who run it. One such priest was the great uncle of Mrs. Johnson, who served as a missionary in the Philippines in the 1950s. We found his picture and the docent told us more about his life!

Back in Maynard, Virginia helped read the passion and we venerated the cross. ❤️✝️
