I am excited to introduce you to a new sermon series that we are starting on Sunday, April 19th called “The God Story”. Through this series we will spend 12 weeks telling the story of God as we see it unfolding through the Bible. Whether you are relatively new to the Bible, or perhaps you’ve read it many times from cover to cover, our prayer is that your heart will burn to know God more as you see “what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called the children of God!” (1 John 3:1)

This sermon series is based on the book titled “The God Story” (Emerson & Cox). Below are some links to buy the book if you would like to immerse yourself in the story and follow along as we go through the series.

We also plan to send a brief recap each week via email and social media along with some questions for reflection. We want to encourage everyone to find someone that you can reflect on the story with each week. This could be a family member, friend, co-worker. You could even form simple text groups or plan a time to meet up and chat. The more ways that we engage with the story, the deeper it will get embedded into our hearts. We are not going to formally administrate this, but you can do it – be an initiator! Let’s spur one another one in love and good deeds.

Lastly, as part of this series we want to create opportunities for you to share your “God Stories” – these are moments where you’ve encountered God and his presence, his love, and his power have impacted you. If you have a “God story” to share please fill out the attached form so that we can gather your stories and plan when to have you share it.

I am excited for all the ways that God is going to encourage and transform us through this series. I hope that you will engage with God and the family of believers deeply as we go on this journey together. I love following Jesus together with you!
