Today is National Day of Prayer. Let’s pray for our nation, our leaders, our community, and for eachother.

And let it not just be today. As ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭17‬ says, let’s “pray without ceasing.”

There is HOPE. Death could not hold Jesus Christ. He is alive!

“All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) We can try as hard as we like, but none of us can be good enough to stand before a holy God.

Then Jesus came.

The righteous Son of God Himself became a man. He lived a sinless life, and then He died on the cross for the sins of the world.

He died for your sins and for mine.

He took the punishment WE deserved and now offers forgiveness and freedom from sin to all who call upon Him. Jesus Christ offers hope and eternal life to those who trust Him as Savior (John 11:25). He extends His invitation of mercy to all, and He loves you.

“Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.”
‭‭John‬ ‭12‬:‭13‬ ‭

Today, is what many call Palm Sunday, when Jesus rose into Jerusalem on a donkey. It was a time of joy for many. There were songs sung, people celebrating, and an overall spirit of hope.

Yet, the same people who praised His name and threw palm branches in his path that day would soon be crying for His death.

They didn’t realize who He was.
Their King? Yes.

But he didn’t come to deliver them from temporal tyranny. He came for so much more! He came to SAVE them from eternal condemnation and the power of sin.

Do you know Jesus personally? If so, remember the goodness of your King today!

If you don’t know Him, we’d love to introduce you to the only King who has ever willing sacrificed Himself for guilty, undeserving people because of love. We’d love to introduce you to Christ who changes lives.
