True Gospel Baptist Church

True Gospel Baptist Church Service times: Sunday Morning: Sunday School 10am, Worship 11am. Sunday Evening: Service 6pm. Wednesd We believe that we are called to serve others.

True Gospel Baptist Church is grounded in the fact that we do what we do for a higher purpose! We feel strongly that it is every Christians responsibility to follow the direction of Christ according to scripture
Matthew 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.. THIS IS

WHAT WE BELIEVE:
The Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative (KJV) Word of God. That there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. That for the salvation of lost and sinful men, repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit and that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation. In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly and powerful life. In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. In the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. And all of this leads us to a higher purpose... A mandate to serve our generation and meet the needs of people wherever they are!

Good Sunday morning everyone!

Since we aren’t able to have in person service again today, and Preacher J.R. doesn’t have social media or internet at home, we decided to reach back into the video vault and share a message.

Like many things in life, sometimes it helps us to hear something more than once, using prayers of discernment to glean what God is sending us in any particular moment.

Maybe you heard this message live on Facebook back during the lockdown phase of life, maybe you didn’t. Here’s your chance.

We have again found ourselves in a slower paced, stay at home kind of way today, so let’s grab a Bible, check the comment section of this post for a little musical inspiration, and then settle in for a moment or two from God’s word with Preacher J.R.

Good evening everyone!

Given the weather forecast, there will be no Sunday services 1/25/2026.

Preacher J.R. says he loves you all and he’ll see you again soon. In the meantime, read your Bible, pray and talk with God and your family, and keep on keepin on for Jesus!

Heaven is a whole lot sweeter today, our ray of sunshine, Sister Joan, is strolling over heaven with Jesus and having the best day ever!

We will miss her greatly, her smile was the sweetest, her laugh contagious. She had a spirit about her like none other, and walked with the Lord in her heart everyday. Joan never let anyone walk through the doors of our church without a welcome “howdy!”, a handhake and some chit chat, and an invitation to come back anytime. She carried herself with confidence and strength in her role of hospitality greeter, one she joyfully accepted through serving in the Ladies Prayer Circle.

“Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.”
Proverbs 31:31

Enjoy your forever in paradise, dear Joan. We’ll be seeing you soon!

All our love,
your brothers and sisters in Christ,
your church family,
your friends

Missing her so much already. 🤍

Good morning everyone!

Due to the current weather and road conditions, all services today have been cancelled. Please stay home, stay safe, and pray for one another for encouragement this week.

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” -Psalms 91:1

Psalm 91:1 is a declaration of complete trust in God, signifying that those who make Him their dwelling place and shelter will find His divine protection, comfort, and peace. The verse "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty" promises that a life lived in close, personal relationship with God offers refuge and security amid life's trials. This isn't a promise of a pain-free life, but one where God's presence is a constant source of strength and safety.

In the comment section of this post, you will find a video of Preacher J.R. and some of his family playing and singing together at his family reunion in October. “Beulah Land” is the name of the song, led by Sarah Young. We dedicate this song today to all of our church family, but especially to our sweet Sister Joan. May God surround you and your family with peace that only he can bring. Love to all!
