Power Under Pressure

“But ye shall receive POWER, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…” — Acts 1:8

Pentecost was not just about what they felt in the Upper Room. It was about what they could withstand after they left it.

Let’s Be Clear: the proof of power is not how loud you shout in safe environments… it is how stable you remain under pressure. The Holy Spirit was never given merely for emotional moments; He was given for endurance, boldness, clarity, restraint, discernment, and spiritual authority when life gets heavy.

Anybody can praise God when pressure is absent. But real power shows up when pressure hits your mind, your emotions, your finances, your relationships, and your expectations… and you still remain aligned. Pressure reveals what is really governing you.

This week, stop interpreting pressure as proof that God left you. Sometimes pressure is the environment where power becomes visible. Oil is produced under pressure. Diamonds are formed under pressure. And many of God’s strongest people discovered what was truly in them when life stopped being comfortable.

You are not weak because this season is heavy. You activated with power. Live like it!

🗣️ Declaration: “I will not collapse under pressure. The Holy Spirit is producing stability, boldness, wisdom, and endurance in me. I carry power for this season!”

Happy Pentecost Sunday, City Church!

Today commemorates the birth of the New Testament Church — the moment Heaven poured out power upon believers and the Church was born in FIRE. What a privilege it is to be a part of His Body… living lives that testify of His sovereignty, His power, and His transformative grace.

As we celebrate Pentecost Sunday, today we sow a special seed of $50.

Fifty represents Pentecost the outpouring, empowerment, release, and divine movement of God’s Spirit among His people. It represents freedom, harvest, unity, and fresh fire for the assignment ahead.

We are ONE BODY…
unified in purpose,
submitted to His will,
trusting His plan,
and exemplifying His love in the earth.

Let’s honor God together today in worship and generosity.

One of the things we’ve prioritized as a church this year are intentional and strategic breaks to rest, reset, and breathe. Rest is not weakness, laziness, or lack of commitment; rest is holy. You cannot pour endlessly without consequence. Let’s Be Clear: constantly running on empty is not a badge of honor, it is poor stewardship. Even God rested. Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is pause long enough to recover your clarity, your strength, your joy, and your capacity to continue well.

Thank God It’s Friday 🙌🏽

TRUST GOD WITH THIS

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” —Jeremiah 29:11

Most people quote Jeremiah 29:11 for comfort…
but ignore the context of captivity attached to it.

God spoke that promise to people living in uncertainty, disruption, disappointment, and exile. In other words: they were not standing in manifestation yet. They were sitting in confusion while trying to understand why life did not unfold the way they expected.

And yet God says:
“I still have plans for you.”

Let’s Be Clear: Just because life feels unfamiliar does not mean God became absent. Just because the season feels uncomfortable does not mean the future became hopeless.

Some of the hardest seasons to trust God in are the ones where nothing looks like the promise anymore. When prayers feel delayed. When doors close unexpectedly. When people disappoint you. When your emotions become exhausted from carrying uncertainty too long.

But trust is not proven by how you behave when everything makes sense. Trust is revealed when you continue believing God is intentional… even while life feels unresolved. Sometimes God allows the process to stretch longer than your comfort because He is developing a version of you that can sustain what you prayed for.

TRUST GOD WITH THIS. Not because you have every answer. Not because you can see the outcome. But because God has never needed your understanding in order to remain faithful.

WINsday Midweek Fuel 🔥

TRUST GOD WITH THIS.

“And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights…”
— 1 Kings 19:8

Elijah was exhausted. Not weak spiritually. Exhausted emotionally. This was a man who had just called fire down from Heaven… and now he was sitting under a tree asking God to let him quit. One of the most dangerous things about purpose is this: sometimes you can be anointed publicly while silently depleted privately. But God did not rebuke Elijah for being tired. He fed him.

Let’s Be Clear: God knows the difference between rebellion and exhaustion. Some of you have been fighting invisible battles while still showing up for everybody else. Carrying responsibility. Carrying pressure. Carrying expectations. Carrying uncertainty; and somewhere along the way, you started interpreting your fatigue as failure.

But hear me carefully: being tired does not mean you are losing. Needing rest does not mean you are weak; and slowing down does not mean God changed His mind about you.

This midweek, stop measuring your life only by visible results. Some victories look like surviving what should have broken you emotionally. Some victories look like getting back up without becoming bitter. Some victories look like maintaining your integrity while under pressure.

Trust God with the pace of your process. Trust God with the season you cannot fully explain. Trust God with the weight you were never meant to carry alone. Even when you feel empty, Heaven still knows how to sustain what it called.

05/18/2026

This week, stop trying to emotionally rehearse outcomes God never asked you to control. Some of your exhaustion is not from warfare… it’s from carrying conversations, timelines, and scenarios that were never assigned to you in the first place. You keep trying to solve tomorrow while Heaven is asking you to trust today. But let’s be clear: faith is not having every answer; it is having enough confidence in God’s character to move without all the details.

“Trust God With This” is not passive language. It is surrender. It is spiritual maturity. It is releasing the illusion that anxiety can produce outcomes. Because some doors will not open through obsession, manipulation, or panic. They open through obedience, consistency, peace, and trust. This week, unclench your soul. God is already ahead of you.

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5 KJV
