Over the last few weeks, we've got to talk to several people and share with each other about life's story. I've had people ask me Why do you do what you do? and it's always the same answer, but this morning I thought of my answer in a different light. My answer today would be "To set the captive free. " Fear and shame are great chains that binds us to the deeds of the past, whether we are the innocent or the guilty party. Jesus has set me free from that bo***ge!

I have had such times in my life, where I had questioned God about things in my life and IF they were in His control, then WHY did such things have to happen. My feeble mind could not comprehend His purpose in such things. I doubted my very existence to have any meaning whatsoever. BUT I prayed! that God would show me a purpose and a meaning.... and after a few years He revealed it to me. I didn't question Him or doubt Him because I didn't believe...I did it SEEKING His answer

I was speaking with a dear friend Friday when the storm was between Greenville SC and the mountains of NC. I mentioned to her that I was worried about people in that area and for their safety. What struck me was that I said it AND that I meant it. One of these is someone who has caused me much trouble and heartache in the past and who, at one time, I hated. BUT GOD..... He had shown me the way of forgiveness and to forgive those who never ask for it. As a Christian, can you think of someone who is so wicked and evil that you would be happy if they were to die and go to hell?! There is no one, not even the one who has hurt me the most, there's no one I want to see die and go to hell. The greatest revenge would be against Satan if that person would come to know Christ! Love you enemies, pray for them that despise you

Sometimes people wonder why we love what we do when it comes to missionaries! This past weekend was just another confirmation that we're doing what God would have us do and we ENJOY it! Having Robert Becker and Emma Becker and their 2 "Argentina tornadoes" (as Michelle calls Lucy and Kelsey LOL) in our home for the Labor Day weekend was such a treat and a blessing. They are all such a sweet family and we're so glad that they trusted us to come in to our home and share their lives with us. We had a great time with Jennifer Martin Langan and Tom coming over and we all being able to sit down and hear what God is doing in their lives. I hope they will always know they have a place to stay. We're so glad we have another missionary family to add to our growing list!

Getting our life together for our trip to Alaska between Christmas and New Years!! Thank you Kent and Judy Ge**er ! I will make good use of it UNLESS Michelle Attaway Edsel confiscates it from me! Haha

This morning was a real WWJD moment. Not just a cliche, not just a wrist bracelet, but an honest, Lord if you don't give me the words, I'll say something I shouldn't and ruin my testimony. Thank you Lord for controlling my tongue and my thoughts and being a witness in spite of myself.
