What a great day spending time with you church family! There is nothing like being in community and growing together.

Today, Pastor Steve continued our sermon series, "What Did Jesus Really Say?" A powerful message entitled "Ask, Seek, Knock."

He reminded us: Prayer is Essential, Prayer is Passionate and Persistent, Prayer is Expectant, and Prayer Empowers Obedience.

When we shift our perspective on prayer, everything changes!

Sunday, Pastor Danny delivered a powerful message reminding us to examine our own lives before looking at others. If you missed it or just need a refresher, here are 3 key takeaways on how to fight a spirit of judgment:

1. Check your heart.Judgment often starts from within. Before looking outward, we have to look inward.
2. Check your heart by surrendering.Give up control, let go of pride, and hand it over to God.
3. Check your heart by serving. It’s hard to judge someone when you are actively serving them with love.

Matthew 7:1–2 reminds us:Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, or criticize their faults unless you want the exact same treatment. Because the same way you judge others, you will be judged!

The Grace Place Church family, today is exactly why we do this every week. Thank you for showing up early, worshiping loud, serving, and making room for one more person. You could spend Sunday anywhere, and you choose to invest it here. That choice matters.

In a culture that tells us to chase more stuff, more status, more upgrades, church does the opposite for us. It benefits us in ways nothing else can:

It resets what we treasure. Pastor's message "What Do You Treasure?" from our series "What Did Jesus Really Say?" reminded us not to build our lives around earthly treasure. Sunday pulls our eyes off our bank accounts and our plans and back onto God's Kingdom.

It gives us the right focus. Point two hit home: Keep your eyes focused on God's Kingdom, not your own. Church is the weekly re-calibration we all need.

It reveals what we're really serving. "You will always serve what you treasure most." Being in the room with other believers keeps us honest about that question: Are we more excited about advancing God's work or upgrading our lifestyle?

That's the benefit. Church isn't an event we attend. It's the family that keeps our hearts aligned, our priorities straight, and our hope anchored.
