Urgent news: Hurricane Milton has escalated to a Category 5 hurricane.

I am the pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Stuart. I wanted to let you all know that should we be without power in the days following the storm, the generator on the back of the property should give us the Power to recharge phones, recharge batteries, and provide some relief for those in the heat with air-conditioning. We can't have anyone spend the night because we don't have indoor restrooms available, but we can provide relief during the day. I want to let you know so you can also tell your friends.

It’s the day you’ve been waiting for. Our annual church-wide Rummage Sale is this Saturday, November 18 from 9AM to 1PM. Fellowship Hall will be overflowing with home goods and small furniture, kitchenware, jewelry, books, toys, holiday decor and so much more. There’s even a Man Cave with tools, outdoor items, sports equipment and more!

One of our important mission projects is our Blessing Bags which we donate to LAHIA and House of Hope. We are prepping our next batch and are in need of items. If you would like to donate any of these travel-sized items items, they can be dropped off in the church narthex or in the office during office hours (Tues-Thurs 10am-2pm).

We’re hosting our annual Shred Day this Saturday, April 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the church parking lot. This event is open to all.

Jesus rode on a donkey, a symbol of kingship. The road was lined with people who cheered for Him with shouts of “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” Everyone loves a parade and this one was no exception. There will always be some though that choose to rain on a parade; there was for this special one.

Join us this Sunday at 9:30AM as Pastor David walks us through a special Palm Sunday service.

We believe in the importance of loving others to love Christ. One way we do this is through our Blessing Bag outreach program. We’ve donated hundreds of bags to LAHIA in the last several years. We invite you to be part of our mission work. We are always in need of donated items like travel size shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, deodorant, soap, plus razors, toothbrushes, washcloths and white socks. Items can be dropped off at the church office or in the narthex on Sundays.

Lent is a time we set aside each year for the church to remember the love of God that is poured out through Christ Jesus on the cross in His death; and His defeat of death, sin and Satan in Christ's death and resurrection that brings Eternal Life to all who believe. The question for so many is, “What are you waiting for — remember?!” Join us this Sunday at 9:30 a.m. as Pastor David explores how we often forget or pay little attention to what the gospel means in our every day lives.
