Appenzell Picnic The annual Appenzell Picnic is sponsored by St. Mark's Lutheran Church and has been held for over 100 years.

Well, you all have done it again. Year after year I continued to be amazed. There is sometimes doubt that creeps in the minds of many of us of, “is there still an appetite for what we do?”

After yesterday, I have very little doubt. The picnic woods was packed and y’all filled the parking lot. (We haven’t had to use our backup parking plans with good weather in a longggg time.) It was a phenomenal day for us, and hopefully for you as well.

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU. We cannot even express how much we enjoy this day every year. To continue to see it flourish makes us want to keep coming back. Many of us have been part of this our whole lives and it means so much to us.

Thank you to the volunteers, thank you to everyone who came out, and with that…

Chicken, clams, burgers, sausage, fries, pizza, we got all kinds of options.

GOOOOOD MORNING APPENZELL!

It’s currently 53 degrees, with a high of 83 for today. The sun will be shining making for a beautiful day for the picnic!

Just a quick run down for today:

The figurative gates open at 2pm.

Live music will start around 4pm.

Chicken dinners will be ready when the pit master says so.

Everything else will be available throughout the day.

The cake walk will be around 8.

We have games, food, raffles, drawings, and so much more! Hope to see you at some point this afternoon!
