The blanket making group at St. Paul's recently took 25 throw size blankets to the Sullivan Rehabilitation Center. Thank you to all who helped! The groups stamps JESUS LOVES YOU in the corner of each blanklet.
They meet the 2nd and 4th Thursday each month at 8:30 am. Come and help if you can.

Greetings of joy. It has been another week of doing evangelism with children under the catechetical conference. Four days of active participation full of fun. I had 420 children in total. Some were drawn by excitement and joined the Lutheran children in learning Luther's small catechism.

Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tuscola, IL will hold the 4th annual “Not Ashamed Conference” on Sat., August 29. The conference will be led by the Rev. Bryan Wolfmueller, of Texas, LCMS pastor and author of numerous Lutheran books, podcasts and YouTube videos.

The conference will run from 9am-1:30pm at the Tuscola Community Bldg. Snacks and a catered lunch is included in the registration. Attendance is free. The 2026 Not Ashamed Conference theme: Not Ashamed of the Cross — Speaking the Truth Clearly in a Confused Age. Christianity is not offensive because Christians are unkind. It is offensive because the cross itself contradicts human expectations of power, wisdom, and righteousness. At the same time, clarity is not arrogance and truth is not cruelty. Clear confession, grounded in God’s Word, is an act of love toward neighbors being worn down by confusion and false promises.

This conference will help ordinary Christians understand why the faith will always offend, what must be confessed without apology, and how to speak the truth without fear or belligerence — in a way that remains accessible to all.
