OUR CORE VALUES
Jesus is the Lord of all, head of the church, and only means of salvation. We are accountable for sharing the message of Jesus with everyone. We are accountable for making disciples by teaching and nurturing Christ-Followers. Prayer is essential to all we do. We are responsible to help those in need. We are accountable to be good stewards of God’s gifts through serving and giving.
We believe that growing relationships with God and others is essential. Worship is an expression of our love for God. God established the family and it is our responsibility to encourage and promote family values. Every person is equally loved by God. WHAT WE BELIEVE ABOUT GOD . . . There is ONE true God. His essence is spirit. He is living. God is self-existent. He is not dependent upon anything outside of Himself. God is infinitely immense. He is not limited by space. God is eternal. He is not limited by time. He is without beginning or end. He may be described as omnipresent – present everywhere, omniscient – all knowing, omnipotent – all powerful, and omnificent – all creating. (Deuteronomy 6:4; John 4:24; I Timothy 6:16; I Thessalonians 1:9; John 3:16; Exodus 3:14; I kings 8:27; Psalm 90:2; Psalm 139; Jeremiah 32:17)
WHAT WE BELIEVE ABOUT SALVATION . . . We are sinners by nature and by choice. The essence of sin is rebellion against God. The result is alienation from a loving Heavenly Father. Because of that sinful human nature, we cannot save ourselves. However, God loves us and has always had a plan to save us, to bring us back to Himself. That’s why Jesus left Heaven’s glory and came to Earth: to die on the cross. His blood became the once-for-all payment for our sin. The Bible teaches that this salvation is offered as a free gift to ‘whosoever’ will accept it by making a faith commitment to Jesus Christ. Upon making such a faith commitment to Jesus as Lord, the individual is born again spiritually and indwelt by the Holy Spirit Who serves to transform the believer into the likeness of Jesus Himself. Furthermore, we believe that this salvation is secure forever (once-saved-always-saved) and that every true Believer will persevere to the end, never renouncing his faith. (John 3:1-16; 6:37; John 10:28; Romans 3:23; 6:23; 8:9, 28-29; Ephesians 2:8-9; Philippians 1:6; 2:6-11; Hebrews 9:12, 22)
