Yesterday was a truly joyful and meaningful day as we celebrated the merger to become the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in the Assabet Valley!

We were honored to welcome so many special guests to help mark this exciting milestone. Yesterday was about more than becoming one congregation. It was about honoring our shared histories, celebrating the communities we have built, and looking ahead to all that we can accomplish together. We are grateful to everyone who helped make this day so special and for all who are joining us on this new journey.

This Sunday's service: Rev. Oscar Lewis Sinclair will share with us a sermon that draws from this passage from Unity Church member and poet Rev. Karen Hering : "When we come to the edge of our knowing, and the journey is not yet over and the road we’ve been on disappears, remember it is only the map—not the world—that has ended."

This Sunday's service: Our religious community may be newly formed, but it is woven together with common ribbons of our past. This month we’ll explore some of the questions that make us who we are as a faith community, beginning with that question of who we are, what it means to be a community on the threshold, still learning and growing together, and how to embrace that uncertainty as a gift. See the comments below ↓ for information on how to join the service virtually.

This Sunday's service: Our guest Speaker this Sunday is Emily Miller Mlcak. “Nel mezzo del cammin di nostra vita/mi ritrovai per una selva oscura—Midway in the journey of our life, I found myself lost in a dark wood.” –Dante Aligheri, The Inferno - What does it mean to be lost, to have the landmarks disappear? To be disconnected from the world around us, from ourselves? How might we need to surrender to that state so that we can be found?
