Pope Leo XIV’s doctors confirm that the tumor removed on October 13 was a lung adenocarcinoma and that the disease was localized, noting that "no further treatment is necessary."

Thursday, we celebrate the Memorial of Saint John Paul II, Pope. He truly was a living Saint among us! The picture is of Saint John Paul the Great before the Papal Mass in Central Park, NYC on October 7, 1995. This picture was taken by Fr. Herb as the Popemobile passed by.

We pray for the soul of Ryan D. O'Shea, a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo, many of our younger parishioners may have attended North Rockland HS with him. We pray for his soul and for his family during this time of loss.

Dear Friends,

Please keep my mother, Roselee, my brother, Richard, and the entire Hicks family in your prayers upon the death of my father, Ronald J. Hicks, who died on October 14, 2026, at the age of 87.

My dad was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and educator. As a lifelong, faithful Catholic, he would be delighted that you pray for his intention and his family.

We commend him to the loving mercy of God. Eternal rest grant unto him, 0 Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.
