🔎🦅 EAGLE EYE WEDNESDAY 🦅🔎

What a day! This past Saturday, a small army descended on our little hill to help Shane bring his Eagle Scout project to life — and by 5:00pm, the transformation was incredible!

With the help of his mentor Ralph Heavner, rockstars Jason O’Dell and Matt Hitchcock, and dozens of Boy Scouts and adult volunteers, our church entrance got a major makeover:

🌿 Brush cleared
🚧 Old sign removed
🪧 New sign built & installed
💧 New underground drainage installed
⚡ New electric run to the flagpole & “Bruce”
🧱 New paver pad & donated bricks installed
🪑 Benches built & installed

It was a long day, a huge team effort, and an amazing accomplishment. And there’s a LOT to see! Scroll through some photos and see just how much can happen when a church family — and a whole lot of amazing volunteers — comes together.

We’ll have a dedication ceremony later this year, but for now, join us in congratulating Shane on an incredible Eagle Scout project!

It’s Eagle Eye Wednesday! 🦅

Say hello to Shane & Bryce Teichmann, recent confirmands and Eagle Scout Candidates in Troop 61 in Stony Point!

As you’ve read in recent issues of The Church Bell, Shane & Bryce are working on Eagle Scout Projects at our church — and A LOT is about to happen over the next couple of weeks!

Every Wednesday for a bit, we’ll highlight what they’re working on, the progress they’re making, and even how you can help. We're calling it - Eagle Ey Wednesday!

You’re going to be amazed by the finished projects — coming later this summer and fall!

WE NEED HELP! This will sound nuts... Next weekend we are having our 3rd annual Sunday School Summer Sleepover. This year's theme is "Christmas in July." As always, we have a ton of surprises up our sleeve. We are looking for three volunteers (or one really committed volunteer) who would be willing to play the part(s) of "The Ghost of Christmas Past" (at 12:00am on Sunday July 19), "The Ghost of Christmas Present" (at 2:00am) and/or "The Ghost of Christmas Future" (at 4:00am) to come into the sanctuary, wake our kids up and read a ~15 second script. You don't have to know our kids or be involved in the Sunday School at all. (Mysterious is better here.) If you're crazy enough to be willing to help us out, reply to this thread OR text/call Jay at 917-848-7994. (And shhhh... don't tell any kids we're doing this!)

The room is set up, the meatballs have been handrolled and the sauce has been homemade - for tomorrow's Spaghetti Supper! Whether or not you are coming to the dinner, please join us and the kids for Bell Day tomorrow morning in worship at 10:30! It's going to be a great Super Sunday!

This Sunday is our first Super Sunday! We still have a couple spots available for the 4pm supper for anyone who missed the RSVP deadline by would still like to attend, but we encourage everyone to join us at 10:30am for Bell Day! Every hymn throughout our service will be played on the bells. We know it's a favorite of many of you, so come join in the fun.

With the snowy winter and frigid February, you may have forgotten that next week is our annual Sunday Spaghetti Supper - Sunday March 8 at 4pm! We're taking RSVPs through Monday and then will begin our shopping and preparation. Cost is $25 for Adults, $10 for Youth 18 & under, Free for Kids 10 & under. To RSVP, call Joan Skinner (845-641-0458) or simply post in the comments below with your party size. Please RSVP no later than Monday. We hope to see you; it's sure to be delicious!

Get festive, merry and all Christmas-y. Enjoy an afternoon of holiday singing in our beautifully-decorated church, accompanied by organ, piano and bells played by the super-talented Marilyn Marino of Immaculate Conception. After singing your holiday favorites, we'll enjoy cookies and light refreshments in our fellowship hall, transformed into a Christmas wonderland. It's the perfect way to cap off the Christmas season before the Big Day! Join us this Sunday at 4.
