August 9th's Chicken BBQ is an example of Calvary’s Outreach Programs at their very best! Both the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center and Calvary’s own Uganda Mission Team benefited from the funds raised, including the three fabulous raffle ticket baskets! And, the support for the Covenant to Care Backpack Outreach was once again amazing. The team that met to assemble the backpacks was kept very busy putting all the pack backs together so each child has the best start to their upcoming school year. Thank you everyone for all the support for OUR Outreach programs!

What a fantastic evening of great food, good company, and community spirit. Whether you grilled, served, or simply came to enjoy the fun, you helped make this beloved Calvary tradition a success!

Thanks to your generosity, we're able to support Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center and Calvary’s own Uganda Mission Team. We're grateful for this community and everyone who shows up to help us give back.

☀️ Brunch Bunch is back: let's cool off by the water! 🌊

Join us for our next Brunch Bunch gathering at Breakwater in the Boro on Sunday, August 16th, at 11:45am. As long as Mother Nature cooperates with some sunshine, we'll be out on the deck, but bring a sweater just in case there's a chill in the air!

Please note: we've shifted August's Brunch Bunch to the third Sunday, since the Chicken BBQ took over the 9th!

If you'd like to attend, please email [email protected] by Saturday, August 15th, but last-minute Sunday sign-ups to Terri are okay too!

🎒 Join us Thursday for a Backpack Stuffing Party!

Come together as a community to stuff backpacks for local school children — snacks included, of course! It's a fun, hands-on way to make a difference as the new school year approaches.

Covenant to Care Backpacks

Each year, Calvary Church partners with the Covenant to Care program to fill backpacks with school supplies for foster children in New London County. Over the years, our parish has helped hundreds of students start the school year off right!

Ways to help this year:
🖊️ Drop off school supplies at the church by Sunday, August 9
💛 Sponsor a student with a fully-stocked backpack (drop off by August 9)
📚 Make a monetary donation toward supplies
🎒 Join the Backpack Stuffing Party on Thursday, August 13, at 4:30pm in the Parish Hall — snacks included!
