Prayer from my Bible App this morning!

Sorry for not posting much lately and to be honest I have been a little funk. That devil can get to you sometimes but be disciplined and know that our God is right there with us thru everything. Sometimes in the most frustrating moments, we find ourselves questioning why this is happening or even questioning God.

Have we ever thought about questioning ourselves? Most of the time we try and do everything ourselves instead of asking in prayer or just even communication with God asking him for guidance and direction. In those challenging times, that is when we need to lean into him and listen for that voice. I promise God is there.

That is something I know I need to get better with. There are days I do good and days I don’t do so good, but deep down I know he is there with me!

Have a blessed day everyone

Good morning! I am going to reflect on this verse today!

Are you having a hard time with anger or frustration? I know there are days I struggle with one or the other or even both for that matter. I also forget to give myself grace but then I feel the calm in my spirit.

Have you ever tried praying to God when you feel anger or frustrated? I haven’t to be honest but maybe a few times, so that is why I’m going to reflect on this. I still have work that needs done in me.

Challenge yourself as I will! Instead of lashing out in anger or frustration, take a moment to really reflect on what made you angry or frustrated, then talk to God about it and ask him for help to not be so quick to anger and frustration but to give yourself grace!

Have a blessed day everyone!

How often do we as believers become offended or even judge someone? At some point you definitely did but if you want to lie to yourself then go ahead. I can promise you this, if you stay in offense or in judgement it only makes YOUR life tougher!

Speaking from experience here! I have done and lived in that form from time to time and when I look back, I get mad at myself for being that way or doing that to someone. BUT GOD, helped change that in me.

The verse below is a strong verse with a mere 8 words but man are they powerful! if you don't know what merciful means, I got you covered!

Merciful- adjective. If you describe God or a person in a position of authority as merciful, you mean that they show KINDNESS and FORGIVENESS to people.

Wow how powerful that one word can be! I am challenging you today! the question is are you ready to be challenged?

I want you to really put that word Merciful in the forefront of your mind for a week. If someone wrongs you, be merciful; if you find yourself judging someone based on what they said, be merciful; if someone continues to say I’ll do this or that but never does, be merciful!

You know why? Because our FATHER is merciful to us! Even in our sinful ways! I’m so thankful God is merciful to me!

ARE YOU?!?! Have a blessed day everyone!

This was a part of my prayer in my Bible app this morning and I felt led to share it!

The devil is the king of confusion. Is there something in your life that you want, need, or think you deserve? Are you just in a state of confusion about it? If you are I promise it’s the devil trying to throw you off. Seek God and you will find peace. If there is a tough decision regarding family, job, finances or whatever it may be, God will give you peace on the right decision but it’s up to you to have FAITH in that still small voice. Seek him in absolutely EVERYTHING you do!

I pray his peace finds you today! Have a great day my friends!

In our modern era, it's effortless to fall into the trap of stubbornness. I've been there, resisting change and clinging to my own ways. Yet, as I immerse myself in the wisdom of the Scriptures, I sense a profound shift within me.

Stubbornness closes doors to growth and stifles the beauty of possibility. Imagine if God treated us with the same stubbornness we often exhibit in our daily lives and interactions. It's a humbling thought.

Today, I challenge myself—and you—to embrace the spirit of service. Let's cultivate hearts and minds that are open, flexible, and eager to serve others.

Lord, guide me to emulate your selfless nature. Help me shed stubbornness and nurture a servant's heart and mindset. May this day be filled with blessings for us all.

Good morning!

I felt God put this on my heart this morning!

Have you ever had people say you are unqualified? Have you ever had people say you aren't good enough? Have you had people say you haven't been there long enough to go after that job? Have you had someone say, your past is holding you back?

I have had this happen to me more than once! Let me tell you this in James 3:8 it says, "But the tongue can no man tame; it is unruly evil, full of deadly poison." We have to be better with our words and what we speak to each other, but not only what we speak to each other but what we speak to OURSELVES! If you fall into what other people are saying you are going against what the Bible says about you! You are a VICTOR not a victim!

In God's eyes we are PRECIOUS and HONORED! Take time in asking Jesus to change your tongue, take time and ask Jesus to soften your heart! Ask him to lead you each and every day. The devil will try and attack at any time, because you are a threat to him. As long as you have JESUS, and I mean truly have JESUS- HE will talk thru it with you!

Have a blessed day!

For several years, I have consistently felt attacked personally and even my family by the devil. I felt I couldn’t win no matter how hard I tried. Did you catch those last 4 words in the previous sentence? “How hard I tried!” When “I” stopped trying to do everything myself and I truly gave it to God, I gained peace knowing he’s got me and he’s already been where I am. That’s when my perspective shifted!

Do you feel like you are swimming with your head just above water? Do you feel so heavy that it’s messing with your relationships because you aren’t the same? This was me for a long time! I tried and tried to give it to God, but I like to have control over most things in my life. It wasn’t until the wreck, and several weeks after with a lot of behind the scenes things that happened to when I looked at my wife and said, “ I am giving every part of my life to God, I can’t do this without him anymore!” It was then that I legitimately felt the weight off my shoulders. From that day forward, I do everything I can to give it to him hourly, daily, and weekly! It’s not easy but I promise you it’s rewarding!

Have a blessed Sunday everyone!

I know this feeling all too well! I was really good at saying I was fine, when deep down I felt lost, hurt, angered, and low. I kept telling my wife something wasn’t right for several months, that I didn’t feel myself and haven’t been for a while.

I had to do something or talk to someone. I swallowed my pride and reached out. I started focusing on getting myself better and I really wish I would’ve done it sooner! It’s changed my relationships at the homefront especially with my son!

Don’t feel ashamed to feel this way. Life can be very heavy but I know a guy that can make you lighter if you will trust HIM with everything you got!
