The family of Rondout Valley United Methodist Church will share in the celebration of life of one of its members, Natalie Cobb, on April 19, 2026 at 12:00
All who knew Natalie are welcome to attend
Kerhonkson - Natalie M. Cobb, 97, passed away at home on Monday March 30, 2026. Natalie was born January 3, 1929, in Cortland, New York to Clifton and Olive McWilliams. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Perry B. Cobb (2023). She is survived by her sister Olive Leonard, her children Nancy (Rebeca) and Bruce (Cyndy); her stepchildren Phil Cobb (Kathy), Susan Cobb (Ron), Kathi Gutierrez (Fidel), and Lisa LaMothe (Wayne), along with 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A graduate of Cornell University with a BA in Home Economics, Natalie went on to a Master’s Degree at the University of Wisconsin in Home Economics, as well as a Master’s Degree from SUNY New Paltz in Education. She started her career as a 4-H County Agent under Cornell Cooperative Extension, which included program planning, public relations, and administrative work. She taught at the Astor School and J. Watson Bailey School and finished her career as a guidance counselor in the Rondout Valley School District.
Natalie had a variety of interests and singing was a major part of her life. She was a member of the Ulster Choral Society, Coach House Players, Musical Society, her church choir at Rondout Valley Methodist Church, and she was also a paid soloist for 10 years. Natalie was also part of several area scholarship committees and for a short time the treasurer for the Ulster County Fair.
Her favorite hobby was traveling. She and her husband Perry enjoyed traveling here in the U.S. as well as visiting many countries abroad, enjoying the variety of cultural experiences and sharing their experiences with their family and friends through stories, pictures, and movies.
A funeral service will be held at Rondout Valley Methodist Church in Stone Ridge, NY on Sunday, April 19th at 12 noon, followed by graveside burial in Fairview Cemetery. Following these services, friends and family are invited to Lydia’s Café in Stone Ridge to share in remembering Natalie and her wonderful life.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hudson Valley Hospice.
