Honor in Labor

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters... - Colossians 3:23

There is honor in labor and hard work. God designed work as a way for us to achieve personal success, satisfaction, and fulfillment in our efforts.

Since the beginning of time itself, work has been in existence. God Himself worked for 6 days and then rested. Adam worked diligently in the Garden of Eden. Moses and David were shepherds, and the Apostle Paul was a tentmaker. So it has been for centuries since. Work has always been a part of life.

Today, we pause to honor those who labor and work, providing not only for their families, but also contributing to our society as we know it. Take pride in your work. Work honestly and skillfully. Make your work an altar of praise to God for the gifts He has blessed you with that enable you to be successful. And most of all, give Him glory and honor in all that you do.
