🔨 The walls may change, but God’s love doesn’t. ❤️

As Stokesdale United Methodist Church enters a new season, Sunday’s message reminded us of the **Four E’s**:

📖 Ecclesiastes — There is a season to break down and a season to build up.

📦 Ezekiel — Sometimes we pack up and move forward, trusting that the future is in God’s hands.

🏗️ Ezra— When God’s people returned to rebuild the temple, change brought different emotions. Some celebrated what was being built while others remembered what once was.

🤝 Ephesians — God calls us to break down walls and come together.

This renovation may bring excitement for some and memories of what once was for others. Both can have a place in this season.

📖 10:00 a.m. — Sunday School
⛪ 11:00 a.m. — Worship and Groundshaking Ceremony

Our Scripture lesson will come from Ezra 3, when the Israelites laid the foundation for the second temple. It was a new beginning for them—and this is a new beginning for us! 🌱🙏

Following worship, we’ll gather in the fellowship hall and take the first swings of demolition! 🔨🧱 Together, we’ll celebrate renovations that will create more room for fellowship, nurture, accessibility, and mission. 🫶♿🌎

🎁 Every household in attendance will receive a beautiful cross-and-flame ornament handmade by Al Hartman. We are deeply grateful for everyone who has contributed—or plans to contribute—to this exciting project! ❤️🔥

❤️ Looking back at some footage from "The Blessings of the Animals" church service reminds us to pray over our beloved pets too. What a beautiful reminder for God to give us animals that bring such joy. Comment a picture of your furry friend to add to our prayer list!
