Team check-in 👇🏾

Where did you feel the most pressure this week while leading or serving?

Not to judge it—just to notice it.

Because pressure reveals where we may be relying on ourselves
instead of trusting God.

Let's grow in awareness.

Before the platform…
there's the quiet place.

Before the sound…
there's stillness.

Before the moment…
there's surrender.

Don't rush past what actually sustains you.

God doesn't meet you first on the stage.

He meets you in the secret place.

Rehearsal reveals more than skill.

It reveals what you rely on.

If you rely only on structure…
you'll feel thrown when things shift.

If you rely on control…
you'll feel frustrated when people don't respond how you expect.

But if you learn to rely on presence…

you'll be steady
even when the moment isn't.

That's the difference.

Midweek check…

Are you leading from overflow
or from effort?

Effort tries to force something to happen.

Overflow responds to what's already happening.

One feels heavy.
The other feels aligned.

Take a moment today and reset.

You don't have to push what God is already breathing on.

Not every leadership moment needs your voice.

Some need your awareness.

It's easy to feel like you have to:
fill the space…
explain the moment…
keep things moving…

But sometimes the most powerful thing you can do
is recognize what God is already doing
and not interrupt it.

That takes restraint.

That takes trust.

That takes maturity.

Can I be honest?

Some of the most powerful worship moments don't fall apart because of lack of talent…

they fall apart because of overthinking.

You start second-guessing:
"Was that the right song?"
"Should I say something?"
"Did I miss the moment?"

And while you're in your head…

you're no longer leading the room.

You're analyzing it.

But confidence in worship leadership doesn't come from having it all figured out.

It comes from being anchored.

Anchored in:
• Time spent with God
• Preparation done in private
• Trust that He is with you in the moment

Because when you're anchored…

you don't have to force it.
You don't have to chase it.
You don't have to overthink it.

You can just lead.

This week, trust what God has already placed in you.

Stop trying to get it perfect.
Start leading with presence.

One of the most overlooked parts of worship leading…

isn't the songs.

It's the space between them.

Because transitions are where:
• Distraction can enter
• Momentum can break
• Or the presence can deepen

Anybody can sing a setlist.

But not everyone knows how to carry a moment.

That space between songs isn't filler.
It's leadership.

It's where you:
• Listen instead of rush
• Discern instead of default
• Lead people instead of just moving on

Sometimes the most powerful moment
isn't the chorus…

…it's what happens right after it.

🎯 This week, don't just plan your songs.
Plan your transitions.

Because how you move
matters just as much as what you sing.

Let me ask you something real…

How focused is your rehearsal—really?

Not just musically…
but spiritually and relationally.

Because rehearsal isn't just about getting the songs right.

It's about setting the atmosphere
for what Sunday will become.

But distractions are subtle:
• Side conversations
• Phones out between songs
• Repeating parts without intention
• Showing up physically, but not mentally

And before you know it…
you're practicing songs without building culture.

Focused rehearsals don't happen by accident.
They're led that way.

As leaders, we have to:
• Call the room into alignment
• Keep purpose in front of people
• Know when to pause and reset
• And remind the team why this moment matters

Because what you tolerate in rehearsal
will show up on Sunday.

And what you build in rehearsal
will carry into worship.

🎯 This week, don't just run songs.
Lead the room.

Before God does something through you…
He wants to do something in you.

And that usually starts
in the place of surrender.

Not the public moment.
Not the stage.
Not the setlist.

The quiet place.

The place where no one sees.
Where no one is clapping.
Where nothing has to be performed.

Just you and Him.

Because the truth is…

We can lead songs
and still not be fully surrendered.

We can create moments
and still be holding on to control.

But when we truly surrender—
our plans, our preferences, our pressure—

That's when God begins to move
in ways we can't manufacture.

So today, don't just prepare to lead.

Pause.
Surrender again.
Make room for Him.

Because what you release to God…
He knows how to raise with purpose.

Let me give you a real leadership moment…

There are times in worship where everything in you wants to push forward.

Push the song.
Push the energy.
Push the moment.

But the room isn't there.

And in that moment… you have a choice:

👉 Force it
or
👉 Surrender it

That's the tension most people don't see.

Because leadership isn't just about knowing what to do—
it's about knowing when to let go.

Some of the most powerful moments I've led didn't come from pushing harder…

They came from pulling back.
Listening.
Adjusting.
Trusting God more than my plan.

That's not weakness.

That's leadership.

Surrender isn't passive—
it's intentional.

And sometimes the best thing you can do in a moment…

is not lead louder—
but lead wiser.

Think it. Live it.
