Have you ever head someone say I just had to do it or something just came over me and I couldn't stop? Well if so they also can't control their tongue.
In the book of James he tells us that if we can control our tongues we can control our other actions as well. Once we learn to control that small object everything else will become easy. Wise speech leads to wise actions with everything else that we do.
Ask God to give you control over your tongue. It will take time but you also will see a change in ALL of the circumstances in life once you can control your tongue. If we allow God to take control and get out of his way he will take control of everything. He will provide the solution and all we have to do is follow his instructions.
Remember he gives us free will and we must be willing to follow his instructions if we want to become overcomers.

Words may change and times may change but God's word is never changing. It's apropos for today tomorrow and yesterday.
Isaiah told Judah that God was tired of their sins and foolishness and if he was tired of their sin and didn't hear their prayers the same applies today. He is tired of our sins and foolishness and he doesn't hear our prayers when we are doing the same.
Say and believe what you like but if you're not a child of God ( obeying his laws and commandments he does hear your prayers either. The only pray of a sinner that God hears is a prayer of REPENTANCE. The sinner on the cross believed and repented and Jesus STOPPED DYING and gave him a new life in paradise.
As I said believe it or not but the word doesn't change, situations change but the word applies to the situation and if you need to repent now is the time. PEACE

Be blessed and enjoy day 16 of our challenge because Love intercedes. "Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers..3 John 2.
You cannot change your spouse no matter how much you want to. We aren't God and can't remold the heart or mind but we can and should be able to change ourselves. Stop spending valued time trying to change your spouse and use it constructively working on yourself. Be like the farmer and plant your seeds in fertile soil, water and nourish it and watch it grow. These challenges are about daring you to LOVE your spouse and if you do it the big change will be with you. I would be remiss if I didn't tell you to pray because prayer changes things. If you want real change in your marriage then start by getting a real prayer life. Learn to turn those nagging complaints into fervent prayers. Pray for your mate and be specific with your request. Please soften my mates heart, please give me and my mate a better understanding of our situation. One of the best things we can do for our spouse is to pray for them.
Our EASY challenge for today is to pray for our spouses heart. Then select three other areas that you want God to work on in your marriage.
We all should be able to do this challenge without a problem. Be blessed

Day 10 is upon us. I skipped 3 days due to somethings I needed to do and also to give everyone time to catchup. I realize everyone doesn't get to it on the day it's posted and they fall behind. The whole thing is to make sure we get each one done and it need not be everyday. Everyday we should continue to practice what we're learning so that we can see change.
Love is unconditional and Romans says..."God demonstrates his own love towards us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. That is what unconditional Love is. Think about why you love your spouse, most would say they're attractive, good looking, good cook, good provider and things like that. What would happen if these things were gone, would we still love them? The obvious answer would be no because we love qualities that they have. If these qualities ended tomorrow our love would be over. The only way love can last a lifetime it has to be unconditional. The real truth is that lasting love is not determined by the one being loved but rather by the one choosing to love. The Bible calls this Agape Love which is different and if your love is build on Philo or Eros love then your relationship is truly unstable. Yes we need friendship and s*x in our relationships but they are not a solid foundation. They change according to our feelings. We can always rekindle our love but it should not determine our commitment level to our marriage. Agape love isn't based on feelings but on a commitment because it is not selfish and is based on a choice.
Sidebar: this agape love cannot be obtained unless you let God begin to establish and grow his love within us.
Our challenge is to do something out of the ordinary for our spouse. Something that will prove to you and our spouse that we love them based on choice. Try washing the dishes or washing her car. Fix her favorite meal or take her to her favorite restaurant. Do it for the sheer joy of being their partner in marriage.
We can get this Agape love if we don't have it because it's obtainable through God.

Day 7 of our journey continues today and several of these challenges have been tough. Remember LOVE believes the best and 1Cor 13:7 says "Love believes all things, hopes all things."
We have 2 compartments of our hearts that we visit. One has good thoughts of our love one and the reasons we love and admire them. The reasons we started to fall in love with them. Then there's the compartment that holds the things that causes us to get upset, the things we dislike. Surprisingly when we first get together we visit the compartment with good memories and as we stay together and stop doing the little things that make each other happy we start visiting the compartment with things we dislike. We need to start returning to those little things that create good memories. Remember it takes practice to continue doing the things that we know are right. Love can be recreated if we both have a desire to stay together. Dreams and hopes have yet to be realized.
Our challenge is to get 2 pieces of paper. One One write all the positive things about your mate and on the second write all the negative things. Place them in a secret place for a day. At some point during the day pick something from the positive paper and thank your mate for it. Oh don't worry we will get the the other paper later.
Keep up the good work because we are going to turn things around.

Good morning our scripture verse for today is Psalm 145:18
King James Version
18 The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.

Our prayer for today is: Father, I thank you for another day, one which we shall never see again, I thank you for family and friends the good times and the bad times. I thank you for your son who died that I might have a right to the tree of life. I pray that I can be an example of what You want me to be in this life and to touch someone in a positive way each and every day. Amen.
