On April 7th, 15 students with Southwest Metro TreeHouse had their Spring Retreat at The Refuge. There were great times for building relationships through night games, meals, activities and discussions about individual faith journeys and who God is. Just getting away from all the distractions and having time to chat in a number of settings was very impactful; including at campfires, on hikes, in small groups and in the large group settings. Ultimately several new bonds of friendship were made!

On November 10th, 12 men from Grace Church arrived for a 3 day retreat. The retreat included a significant amount of time for guests to be alone with God, to experience His healing, and hear His direction. An environment of silence and solitude was provided along with teaching focused on what we need to do to be available to God for a deeper relationship. Some teaching focused on the identification and confession of sin along with the need to forgive others and ourselves for sins against us. The Refuge provided a great environment for individual time alone with God through the presence of His Holy Spirit. Many of the participants were older, with many of the concerns and requests for prayer focusing on their children or grandchildren.
