Today is Good Friday. So Judas brought a detachment of soldiers together with police from the chief priests and the Pharisees, and they came there with lanterns and torches and weapons. Then Jesus, knowing all that was to happen to him, came forward and asked them, “Whom are you looking for?” They answered, “Jesus of Nazareth.” Jesus replied, “I am he.”
-John 18:3-5

We worship this evening at 7:00pm at Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church, 416 Dolle Ave, Seguin, TX 78155. Come, listen to the story of Jesus' trial and crucifixion as heard from the voices who were there.

“REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE DUST… AND TO DUST YOU SHALL RETURN!”

There is much more to lent than ashes alone, and we encourage you to make time to worship with a community of faith, for the support of others, and of the great traditions of faith in our work of repentance and renewal.

Thank you to Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church along with Rudy Salazar for providing us with “Ashes to Go.”

We are grateful for the opportunity to pause, reflect, and begin this Lenten season together. ✝️

This Wednesday, February 18th, is Ash Wednesday.

At the council meeting last week, Rudy shared that everyone is invited to attend the Ash Wednesday service at Emmanuel’s.

If it’s more convenient, you may drive through between 12:00–1:00 PM to receive ashes, or you can attend the evening service at 6:30 PM.

All are welcome. ✝️

ASHES-TO-GO will be outside the church on Gonzales Street from Noon to 1pm. Pastors and staff from our Compass Cooperative will distribute ashes and give blessings to passers-by in cars, on bikes, or by foot.

Worship with Holy Communion and Imposition of Ashes will be in the Sanctuary at 6:30 PM.
