Another message from the missionary family in Ukraine
Update Received this morning from Mike Soto in Ukraine.
I am trying to get this out quickly to all our supporters. So if you are at one of our supporting churches and you receive this, please send it on.
We were in contact with many people trying to get us out. One in particular has amazing experience and is working diligently to extract us. The logistics are quite complicated. As of this morning our city received an air assault, and the Mykolaiv defense took them down. So we are defended. This threw a wrench into our plans - maybe God has different plans. So we continue to minister to our neighbors and friends while we wait.
We are not scared, but broken for the people here. It is so hard to watch Ukrainians lose homes and families split during this tragic time. Thank you greatly for your prayers. The people here are beautiful in soul and need Jesus. Comprehending this is not possible for me, but I know and believe for certain God works all things together for good for those who are called according to his purpose. So we are in complete trust and guidance from God.
We have such incredible mixed emotions, we feel so much for the people here, it's agonizing. But if it is agonizing to us, how much more to the Father. We do ask you for prayers for clarity, to keep the calm in our home, the safety of those who are working so hard to rescue us, and the souls here. I thank God for communication and that if we leave, that we will still be able to minister to these neighbors. They want us to go, they are worrying so much about us- I tell them it is God and "We prayed and it was not possible to leave- so we pray for you."
Blessings,
Mike Soto
