American River Movie and Pizza Night-a big success!

The Green Faith Ministry brought community members together to view American River, a beautiful documentary about the Passaic River-it's history, ecology, the industries that utilized the river's hydropower, the pollution that resulted and the social justice that was pursued. 28 members including the GFM attended and enjoyed a pizza dinner and listened to two guest speakers, Nancy Zak and Arnold Cohen (featured in the movie) talk about their work with SPARK (Save the Park at Riverbank).

Lucky bidders at the ECC annual service auction were recently treated to a nature walk in the Great Swamp National Wildlfe Refuge! The weather was perfect and fun was had. The group learned about pollinators, how the Swamp was saved from becoming a jetport in the late 50's, glacial Lake Passaic and more. Kristy Cerullo led relaxing and interesting grounding exercises. As part of last year's auction, Ann Kahn planned a sailing expedition in the Hudson - an absolutely perfect day for being on the water, the group had a wonderful time!
