Saint Casimir Catholic Church

Saint Casimir Catholic Church Catholic Church Saint Casimir Parish is located just a few miles north of Stevens Point and right off Interstate-39 on Casimir Road.

Serving as one of the oldest parishes in Portage County, Saint Casimir parish was founded in 1871 by the Reverend Joseph Dabrowski. The parish was established to serve the growing population that had settled within a vast area around what would be known as Casimir. Predominantly made up of Polish families, Saint Casimir's was a flourishing place of worship for over 900 parishioners at the turn of

the 20th century. Over the years the parish has seen many different changes and has been under different leadership, but deep down we are very much still in touch with our founding members who still have descendants within the parish to the present day. Like our patron Saint Casimir, who was born into Polish Royalty, we serve the people of our community and God before worrying about the luxuries in life. Our parish is very well known for it’s sense of community within our parish family. The faithful of Saint Casimir's gather every Sunday at 9:00am for mass and we encourage everyone to come and visit us and enjoy our simple yet charming parish.

He is risen!

Easter is the heart of our faith. What we have walked through this week comes to life today. The empty tomb is not just a moment in history, it is the promise that sin and death do not have the final word.

At St. Casimir, we celebrate this day with gratitude for the hope Christ brings into our lives, our families and our community. No matter where you are coming from this Lent, today is a fresh start.

Happy Easter from St. Casimir Parish!

Holy Saturday is a quiet day.

The Church waits. The altar is bare. Everything feels still, like the world is holding its breath.

Christ has died. The tomb is sealed. And yet, this is not the end of the story.

Tonight, we gather in the darkness, and begin with a single flame. From that light, everything changes.

Join us for the Easter Vigil Mass at 8:30 PM at St. Peter Catholic Church.

Good Friday always brings us back to the Cross.
Not just as a symbol, but as something real. The suffering, the silence, the weight of it all.

We take time today to remember what was given for us.

Mass will be at 12:15 PM at Saint Peter.

Holy Thursday brings us back to the altar.

Tonight, we remember the night the Eucharist was given to the Church and the priesthood was established. In the middle of everything that was about to happen, Christ chose to remain with us in the most real way possible.

This is where it all begins.

Mass of the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated at 7:00pm at Saint Peter.

St. Casimir Parish would like to thank everyone who helped make the installation of our new organ possible this weekend. We are especially grateful to the Anthony P. Brzezenski Foundation for awarding a grant to support this project and to the St. Casimir Council of Catholic Women for their generous pledge toward the purchase of the instrument.

Thank you to everyone who gave their time to help with the delivery and installation. Your support helped make this project possible for St. Casimir Parish. We look forward to many years of beautiful music in our church.

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a sacred season of prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Today the Church calls us to honest reflection, to repentance and to renewal.

The ashes remind us that our lives are fragile, that we depend entirely on God and that conversion is not optional. Lent is a time to take our faith seriously, to examine our hearts and to return to the Lord with greater intention.

Mass will be celebrated at 5:30 PM at St. Casimir Catholic Church.
We invite you to begin this Lenten journey with us.

This year, St. Casimir Parish celebrates 155 years of faith and family. Founded in 1871 in Hull, our parish began as a small but determined community rooted in faith and the desire to worship together. What started as a mission church has grown into a parish shaped by generations of families who built, sustained, and cared for this place we call home.

Over the years, St. Casimir has been more than just a church building. It has been a gathering place for worship, sacraments, celebrations, and moments of support during life’s challenges. Through changes in leadership, times of growth, and times of hardship, our parish has remained a constant presence in the lives of so many.

As we mark this 155th anniversary, we give thanks for all who came before us and for those who continue to make St. Casimir Parish what it is today. Keep watching for weekly pieces of parish history in the Sunday Bulletin as we celebrate this milestone throughout the year.

✨ The Epiphany of the Lord ✨

Today we celebrate the Epiphany, when the Magi followed the star and encountered Christ, revealing Him as the Savior of all nations. This beautiful feast reminds us that Jesus is made known to the whole world and continues to call each of us to seek Him with open hearts.

May the light of Christ guide our parish and our homes as we continue this Christmas season in faith and joy.

We were blessed to welcome Bishop Gerard Battersby to Saint Casimir Parish!

On September 28, Bishop Battersby joined us to celebrate Mass and spend time with our parish family. His words of encouragement and his joyful presence reminded us of the importance of faith, community, and continuing the mission of the Church in our daily lives.

Thank you, Bishop Battersby, for your prayers and for sharing this special day with us. May God continue to bless you in your ministry!

📸 Thank you to Marissa Loew, Bonnie Ziolkowski and Lorraine Danczyk for photographing the event.
