Here is our Family Worship Guide as we wait out the winter storm.
You are always free to pray your own prayers, but the prayers Pastor David has prepared are included for your use if you would find them helpful.
The link will take you through the entire service: from the opening call to worship to the closing benediction. It also includes song lyrics and links to YouTube videos for each song. A full playlist of the songs will be posted in the comments as well.
The sermon will be posted as a separate video.
Though we are physically apart, we remain united in Christ, and we look forward with joy to gathering together again soon.

Call to Worship
Psalm 147:1
ESV
1 Praise the Lord!
For it is good to sing praises to our God;
for it is pleasant,
and a song of praise is fitting.
Song 1: Holy, Holy, Holy
https://youtu.be/6I553c2en3E?si=9mHdEgsTj2uBFqNl
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee.
Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!
Holy, holy, holy! all the saints adore thee,
Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea.
Cherubim and seraphim, falling down before thee,
Who was and is and evermore shall be.
Holy, Holy, Holy! though the darkness hide thee,
Though the eye of sinful man thy glory may not see,
Only thou art holy; there is none beside thee,
Perfect in pow'r, in love, and purity.
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise thy name, in earth, and sky, and sea;
Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity.
Prayer of Adoration
Gracious God,
we praise You for Your steadfast love and abundant mercy.
You heal the brokenhearted and sustain the weak.
You do not deal with us according to our sins,
but according to Your grace in Jesus Christ.
We worship You with grateful hearts.
Amen.
Song 2: What a Friend We Have in Jesus
https://youtu.be/Gz1TfNQ1jZU?si=sbUpVrvN3NlUMzcf
Verse 1:
What a friend we have in Jesus,
all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
all because we do not carry
everything to God in prayer!
Verse 2:
Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged;
take it to the Lord in prayer!
Can we find a friend so faithful
who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
take it to the Lord in prayer!
Verse 3:
Are we weak and heavy laden,
cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge--
take it to the Lord in prayer!
Do your friends despise, forsake you?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In his arms he'll take and shield thee;
thou will find a solace there.
Song 3: Brick After Brick
https://youtu.be/CAXyQfqmSO0?si=hHIyyimYrzD3hZSo
VERSE 1
God used to dwell
In a house among His people
But now He has a home
That’s better than the first
It doesn’t look
Like a building with a steeple
Now, He’s living
In the people of the Church
CHORUS
Brick after brick
God is building His temple
Brick after brick
He is making it strong
With Christ the sure foundation
And His people as the stones
He is building a place He can live
Brick after brick
VERSE 2
Christ is the Rock
On which everything’s depending
He’s making sure His house
Is steady as can be
His love is strong
And His promises unending
And He’ll protect His Church
From all her enemies
CHORUS
Brick after brick
God is building His temple
Brick after brick
He is making it strong
With Christ the sure foundation
And His people as the stones
He is building a place He can live
Brick after brick
BRIDGE
All His people gather ’round
Singing out with joyful sound
Giving glory to their Maker
And they build each other up
As they share the bread and cup
To remember their Savior
CHORUS
Brick after brick
God is building His temple
Brick after brick
He is making it strong
With Christ the sure foundation
And His people as the stones
He is building a place He can live
Brick after brick
Prayer of Supplication and Thanksgiving
Faithful Lord,
we thank You for Your saving grace
and for Your Word that guards our faith.
We ask for Your help and care during this storm;
protect the vulnerable, grant patience and peace in our disruptions, and provide what is needed.
Strengthen Your church, even as we are scattered,
that we may remain united in faith and hope.
By Your Holy Spirit, bring Your Word to light in our hearts and minds,
Keep us from treating Your grace lightly
or Your law as a means of self-salvation.
Teach us again to cling to Christ alone,
that our faith may be sincere and steadfast.
Amen.
Sermon
Confession and Repentance
Merciful Father,
we confess that we often forget Your grace
and trust in ourselves instead of Christ.
We wander from Your truth and grow careless with our faith.
Forgive us for Jesus’ sake,
renew us by Your Spirit,
and lead us again in the way of life.
Amen.
Scriptural Assurance
Matthew 11:28–30
ESV
28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Song 4: Christ is Mine Forevermore
https://youtu.be/roQovDZeAWE?si=hsEMkDUpDqyrnFMU
Verse 1:
Mine are days that God has numbered
I was made to walk with Him
Yet I look for worldly treasure
And forsake the King of kings
But mine is hope in my Redeemer
Though I fall, His love is sure
For Christ has paid for every failing
I am His forevermore
Verse 2:
Mine are tears in times of sorrow
Darkness not yet understood
Through the valley I must travel
Where I see no earthly good
But mine is peace that flows from Heaven
And the strength in times of need
I know my pain will not be wasted
Christ completes his work in me
Verse 3:
Mine are days here as a stranger
Pilgrim on a narrow way
One with Christ I will encounter
Harm and hatred for His name
But mine is armour for this battle
Strong enough to last the war
And He has said He will deliver
Safely to the golden shore
And mine are keys to Zion city
Where beside the King I walk
For there my heart has found its treasure
Christ is mine forevermore
Bridge:
Come rejoice now, O my soul
For His love is my reward
Fear is gone and hope is sure
Christ is mine forevermore
Final Chorus:
And mine are keys to Zion city
Where beside the King I walk
For there my heart has found its treasure
Christ is mine forevermore
Christ is mine forevermore
Christ is mine forevermore
Benediction
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ
keep you steadfast in faith,
guard your conscience,
and hold you fast in the Gospel,
now and always.
Amen.
