Mt Signal Baptist Church began a revitalization process in 2023. Our hope is to help people in Chelsea know & become more like Jesus.

Join us in making disciples who make disciples! On May 1, 1941 a group of 24 people met to organize Mt. Signal Baptist Church This assembly voted to call the new body, Mt. Signal Baptist Church, derived from the near by famed mountain, Signal Point. It was from this second highest point in the state that a lamp was lighted each evening during the original Federal Survey, as a welcome signal to gui

de the early settlers. With the hope that this little church should be a light in our community, signaling all the people to come to Christ.

Join us for two services this weekend: Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday (Easter)

Good Friday: April 18, 6:30pm. This service will be a quiet reflection and proclamation of the death of Jesus Christ as we sing, read the story of the crucifixion from Luke's gospel, and learn what was really happening on the cross of Jesus Christ. We will also share the Lord's Supper.

Resurrection Sunday (Easter): April 20, 10:45am. This service will be a time of celebration as we join with the worldwide church in singing and declaring the resurrection of our Lord! We will read the resurrection story from Luke's gospel and learn how salvation comes through resurrection!

We look forward to seeing you at one or both of these services this weekend!

Free Pancake Breakfast THIS Saturday at Mt Signal Baptist Church.

Join us to celebrate the Spring and all that God has done for us.

Our hope is to make this an annual (maybe bi-annual) community breakfast for our friends and neighbors along Old Hwy 280.

Saturday, April 12, 8am - 10am. Pancakes. Sausage. Coffee. Stay and eat with us or grab a to-go box on your way to other Saturday fun!

As we journey toward Resurrection Sunday, Jesus' words in John 10:11-18 remind us why He came: "I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep."

At this point in Jesus’ ministry, He was preparing His followers for what was to come. He wasn’t just a teacher—He was the Shepherd who would willingly lay down His life for His flock. Unlike a hired hand who runs from danger, Jesus stood in the gap, knowing the cross awaited Him.

As we journey toward Resurrection Sunday, let’s reflect:
✔️ Jesus knows us by name and calls us His own.
✔️ His sacrifice was willing and full of love.
✔️ His resurrection proves that death is not the end.

Centuries before Jesus walked the earth, the prophets spoke of a coming Savior—one who would suffer, be rejected, and ultimately bring salvation to the world. These prophecies weren’t vague; they were strikingly specific, revealing God’s plan long before the cross. ✝

Isaiah 53 describes a suffering servant:
But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5, ESV)

As we prepare our hearts for Easter, take a moment to read these scriptures and see how God’s plan for redemption was in motion long before Jesus was born. His promises are true, and every one of them finds its fulfillment in Christ.❤️
