The community of Oak Grove is located in Sterling, VA, County of Loudoun bordering Fairfax County. It is one of five similar communities in Eastern Loudoun County that was founded by former slaves after the Civil War ended in 1865. The name Oak Grove was given because this whole area was covered with stately oak trees, whose towering tops pointed heavenward toward the God whom those few followers had decided to worship.

OGBC has always had a rich tradition of celebrating education. This year’s June Awards Celebration was no different. Congratulations to the Class of 2025 who are seeing increase at every level!

The Christian Education Ministry put on a beautiful celebration this morning with a delicious brunch.

We also want to congratulate Miss Blu Woods on being this year’s recipient of the OGBC Scholarship! She will be attending Temple University in the fall.

From hallelujahs to egg hunts!

Resurrection Sunday at the Grove was an incredible time from start to finish. Our young people led in worship and celebrated together with fun and laughter. The entire day was filled with such gratitude for our Risen Savior and the opportunity to be with our church family.

Big thank you to all who gave towards a successful Egg Hunt- your donations were greatly appreciated!

We hope that you will join us, bring a friend, tell a relative, and share with a neighbor that they do not want to miss what God is going to do this Sunday! Our youth and worshipful arts ministry have been working very hard the last several weeks to prepare, but also know God is going to bless all in attendance. Can't wait to see you Sunday!
